I am a fan of Sonata Arctica for 20 years and I really enjoyed your cover!
Of course it's hard to compare female and male voice - Tony's one is more scratchy/wild while yours more angelic/soft.
This cover for me it's like a fairytale - less violent and harsh than original - like "fullmoon story" could be told from different side of view. You made great job and hope to see more of your videos in the future (and maybe someday live in Poland)!
And last compliment - "half seriously" - I am a stright man BUT I realized "zipper" is too low after 10th listening of song, so yeah - your voice and "story telling" is really good :D

My partner is a huge SA fan, went to Moscow to see them in concert and have a 'backstage meet and greet too', and also went to Finland to see Tony perform symphonic versions of the songs with an orchestra. Since you've done a number of their covers it's so cool to see that you are a fan of theirs too. You mainly do covers of bands that feature female vocals (Epica, Nightwish, etc) so it's a great challenge to attempt vocals for songs that had a male lead because people are used to hearing a male sing them, but nevertheless, it's a challenge that you pass with flying colours !! If you ever come to Russia with Nocturna, I'll do my utmost to come and see you in concert.

Una cosa che adoro delle tue cover è che riesci sempre ad essere "grintosa" (termine un po' cringe, ma più o meno rende l'idea) e delicata allo stesso tempo, mantenendo comunque una via di mezzo fra una voce eterea ed una più "corposa" (di petto, giusto?). Ecco, cerco di tenere a mente questa cosa quando canto e quindi anche di imparare tramite le tue cover perché per diverso tempo ho creduto che la mia voce fosse in un certo senso sbagliata, troppo drammatica e acuta perché un'amica mi diceva così, dato che preferiva le voci più "pop" a quelle come Sharon den Adel e Tarja. Per cui, man mano ho cominciato a cantare con un registro più basso, ma per me era una forzatura perché il mio suono naturale era un altro, non mi trovavo a mio agio sulle note più basse o sui brani pop o indie in generale. Alcuni amici musicisti e un'insegnante mi hanno detto che sono soprano, ma nonostante ciò continuavo ad aver timore di cantare con la mia "vera voce" e infatti qualche mese fa ho capito quanto sbagliassi: Mi sono ritrovata a cantare davanti ad un'altra insegnante di canto ed una decina di persone senza preavviso (ero ad un open-day di una scuola di canto, ma ci era stato detto che non saremmo stati obbligati a cantare singolarmente davanti a tutti), ho scelto Valley Of The Queens degli Ayreon, ma l'ho cantata tra la tachicardia (non scherzo, tremavo tutta e mi batteva il cuore) e la paura di risultare esagerata cantando in una tonalità più alta. Risultato? L'insegnante mi ha detto: "Guarda che la tua voce è già molto eterea, ma dovresti renderla più corposa, si sente che sei soprano anche quando parli perché lo fai in maschera". Praticamente ciò che ho evitato di fare. Ecco, tutto questo papiro per dirti che in qualche modo ascoltare te, Minniva ed altre cantanti qui su RUclips mi fa capire che non è sbagliato aggiungere il proprio tocco a dei brani. In questa cover, ad esempio, avresti potuto urlare, mentre in altre avresti potuto mantenere una tonalità più bassa e simile alle versioni originali, ma hai preferito cantare con naturalezza mostrando allo stesso tempo le tecniche che hai imparato e il risultato è meraviglioso lo stesso (la tua cover di Escapist e le due versioni di Toss A Coin To Your Witcher sono dei perfetti esempi, a mio parere 💕). Sono logorroica e quindi mi fermo qui perché sta già venendo fuori un commento lunghissimo, spero che si sia capito il senso, almeno 😅
Anche io mi sono trovata a dover aggiungere corposità alla mia voce, soprattutto sulle note più basse, perché risultano sempre un po' vuote (sono soprano anche io, e mi trovo comoda a cantare in alto e basta ahahah) ma sentirai la prossima cover! Tutta di petto 😍 grazie per aver condiviso questa tua esperienza!!
