I never heard the original from Sonata Arctica, but I'm really glad I've now seen and heard your earlier video, and now am in the middle of hearing this more mature and emotional presentation. I opened this in a background tab and was going through Twitter for a few minutes 100% thinking I was listening to Sonata Arctica. Then it hit me and I felt terrible for putting Dan in any tab but the foreground. This is one of my favorite songs, not only from SA, but overall. This is the song that got me into metal, so many years ago before I discovered this channel, and the first time I heard Dan hear sing it I got emotional and felt a lot of nostalgia. I like to come back to this cover sometimes to be reminded of how life was and what I've learned over the last decade.
