I am loving this band. A brilliant combination of Motorhead and Black Sabbath. I think it's why they are so cool. I can't stand must metal bands , but HOF is awesome
you nailed it. Matt's number one influence is Lemmy and thats what he wanted to do with this band. Take a stab at thrash. He developed his own 9 string guitar with doubled treble strings hence the ridiculous sound of his solos. Later albums aint so good but everything up to Death is this Communion is incredible (Communion being their peak imo). If you like Sabbath you would fucking love his other band Sleep. Absolute legends in the annals of metal history from the late 80's early 90's. As slow and heavy as anything can be. Essentially they were the pivot for stoner/doom becoming what it is today. They also meme on themselves with overtly satirical marijuana/space obsessed lyrics. They reunited about 4 years ago and already have released more amazing singles and their best work yet on a new LP. Two must see live acts before anyone dies is Meshuggah and Sleep. True sonicly transcendent experiences
One of their greatest, and this live capture is epic!
man I still come back to this. wish the whole NYC set was still up. crazy how timeless Matt's music is my fucking god
Such a sick song
