After watching the video, I'd research on the history and current buildings. Twin Towers were the original center pieces of World Trade Center Complex. Freedom Tower was the name of the new building during the initial phase and now, it's referred to One World Trade Center, One World Trade or One WTC. Any New Yorkers reading this can chime in to provide more insights.
Carey Tunnel? You mean the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel :) The skaters I've seen on YT are usually out among the traffic, like the Stuttering Skater. You'll get there one day!
I just looked up Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. LOL Good point. I'm not sure if that's the more common term people use to reference that tunnel or not. Stuttering Skater is a legend! I'm too chicken skate in NYC traffic! I've only skated in suburbs street traffic and parking lots traffic. For sure man, one day I'll get there and I will return back with hardboots. Appreciate you watching this video. It's more like 80% talking and 20% skating. =)
Honestly, the best pavements to skate is along the Hudson River bike path. There's also a great open area on Pier 76 (near 34th street), where skaters, bikers, skate boarders like to go because it's huge. By the way, you're not a beginner anymore, your title should read "Intermediate".[edit spelling]
Thank you for mentioning it. Next time, I go to NYC I'll check out the Hudson River bike path. Couple of people mentioned that to me ever since I'd posted my NYC trip. Okay, I'll check out Pier 76 as well. I love smooth pavements! Appreciate the kind words! Eventually, I'll remove the word "Beginner". Right now, skating for fitness is my main goal. It makes cardio workout so much fun. I'm still on my soft boots, but will eventually buy hard boots. BTW, are you from NY?
