Thanks for this very helpful explanation of how the composting process works using a kitchen composting machine. While I bought a different brand, the instructions that came with my device did not explain the complete process...your video told me everything I need to know about how to use a composting machine. THANK YOU!
I have a Lomi that I got earlier this year. While the process is different, the compost is awesome and I’ve been using it on all my outside strawberries, tomatoes and flowers as well as the plants in my green stalk. As a one person household I find I often have produce that I don’t have time to finish before they go bad and this gives me a way to still use these items in a significant way. Plus they help my garden so I can enjoy them in another way. I believe it was money well spent although I got mine as a Mother’s Day present!
How do I store my compost? And how long will it keep? Just thinking about our next gardening round when we will need to re fertilize our garden beds for planting. 1st time winter gardener 😂 we live in AZ so trying something different this time.
@plantvibrations hm, ok thank you. We had already started the garden around Thanksgiving, from scratch with fresh fertilized soil. The Moreborn was a Christmas present so only just started creating compost in it over the last couple weeks. I wouldn't want to over fertilize the garden as it creates compost 🤔

You don’t want to ‘store’ your compost indoors! You would be best off using it in the winter or piling it up outside where it can be kept indefinitely

What if i dont have food to add each day? Can it be used every few days?
Yes it can
Is there any smell to the final compost you are putting on your indoor houseplants?
Nope!!
Hi, is it electricity consuming, did your bills raise?
I did not notice a change directly from it, but with our four seasons, electricity bills can vary throughout the year
I thought you cleared the space out under your stairs for your monstera. lol That was a god spot for it.
It moved back to the plant room
How is that your compost looks so dry, mine is pretty soggy even after 48 hours? Please advise.
And you added the materials at the beginning to help the breaking down process?
@@plantvibrations yes i did. may be i'm putting more in the compost then it can handle. let me try again
what about smell of this machine?
it only smells when you open it
Does the compost material attract wild animals?
No it doesnt
