According to Devin; this was meant to be Jugular but he messed up the spelling.... ps; the harsh vocals are by Ihsahn; a Norwegian vocalist from the band Emperor. He's worth a check out too.

To their defense, when I first heard this song I also thought it was Devin doing the chorus! I've later learned that it was Ihsahn, which does an amazing job at this track!

Yep, the old man was Devin! If you weren't sure, check out the tattoos on his upper arm, they match the 2 you can see in his SYL live videos (1 of an alien, 1 of a cat). Also, there's a third Devin - the train conductor was Ziltoid, which is the puppet alter ego of Devin.

I love the fact that as if this all wasn't batshit crazy enough he went the extra mile by making the train conductor Ziltoid The Omniscient as if to say "It's Ziltoid's train. What did you expect?" Also "Color Your World" off the album Ziltoid The Omniscient is a must at some point.
Favorite Devin video. Such a cool song in terms of how it starts out heavy, gets heavier for the chorus and even still manages to push further after that.

Please please please react to Devin's song Sumeria (live from By a Thread). It's off the same album as Juular and also features Joe Duplantier of Gojira on vocals. It's an amazing and sadly underappreciated song.
The line "it's cold inside, my son!" is very deeply meaningful if u know the story of the album and what was the motivation for it all!

Deconstruction is the craziest album, it took me a long time to process it and i had to go track by track. Lots of Strapping energy on this album. It's a masterpiece! Floor shows up, Mikael from Opeth, a TON of guest vocalists. If you want to hear Devin and Floor, the song is called Pandemic and like Juular, it's fucking insane.
Also Joe Duplantier from Gojira is on Sumeria
His videos are goofy but epic!

The reason I'm saying this is because Devin meant for this song to be called Jugular and he made a typo, thus the name Juular came to lmao

It's promo pronounced Jew-lar like few-lar, and it was supposed to be Jugular but he screwed up the spelling and then later said fuck it, I'm just going to go with this new thing now.

As has been mentioned it was meant to be Jugular but there was a mistake so it is now Juular which Devin pronounces as Jew-lare. Edit; Oh and yes the old man in the video is Devin! :)
