Chromite is a metallic mineral, which is a main source for chrome. Chromite is also used in refractories and chemicals.
In Pakistan chromite reserves are in Muslim Bagh, Balochistan, Khuzdar, Chaghi and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in Shangla, Basham, Kohstan, and Bajor etc. Hi grate chromite can be exported directly while the low grade chromite is up gradated washing table or shaking table etc.
Through this method low grade chromite can be upgraded up to 40% to 50 %.
