James Stacy was just a fantastic Cowboy Actor! He just had the look! In all the Western Movies he was in he just fit the role! It’s just SAD the way his LIFE change in 1973 because of dang drunk driver... but it didn’t stop him! Interesting READ about him in Wikipedia!! Go Google Him.... The lancer western was the best for the time it was on the air. the trust the loyalty and the love was displayed by every one of the character actors. Andrew Duggan portrayal of the strongwill & unbending father was superior acting. And the recepercation from his also strongwilled sons played by James Stacey & Wayne Maunder was also superior acting. Also the acting of fellow actors liz baur & paul bringear rounded out the loveable ward/daughter/little sister & the crotchy/bestfriend/loveable uncle. KUDOS TO THE LANCER 👪 FAMILY😍😍💝💝💝🎥

MURDOCH WAS KIND OF HURT, THAT HIS FAMILY THOUGHT OF HIM, AS BEING TOO OLD. MURDOCH GOES TO PROVE TO HIS FAMILY THAT HE CAN DO THE JOB. MURDOCH LANCER AGE IS CALLED PRIDE. FOR HE HAS ALOT OF THAT, FOR HIM TO KEEP ON GOING, & NOT BACK DOWN. SCOTT & JOHNNY LET THEIR FATHER KNOW THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO HELP HIM, IF HE WILL JUST LOOSEN THE REINS. BUT HIS PRIDE WILL NOT LET HIS SONS SEE A WEAK BONE IN HIS BODY. SCOTT & JOHNNY WORRIES THAT THEIR FATHER HAS FOUND TROUBLE, AND FOLLOW THE TRAIL. WHEN THEY DO FIND THEIR FATHER, THEY FIND A STRONG MAN CAPABLE OF TAKING BACK WHAT IS HIS. I FOUND THIS EPISODE TO BE TO BE VERY GOOD TO WATCH. (NOTE) TO ME "DEVIL'S BLESSINGS" IS TRULY A BLESSING IN DISGUISE, BECAUSE IT SHOWS THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE REACHED A CERTAIN AGE, & CONSIDERED OLD BY CERTAIN STANDARD, YOU JUST CAN'T GIVE UP & DIE, OR QUIT. IT SHOWS THAT PRIDE CAN BE YOUR WORST OR BEST ASSET. DEPENDING ON YOUR CONVICTIONS, THEY BOTH CAN TAKE YOU A LONG WAY. It ran for only 2 seasons. There were 26 episodes in season 1 and 25 in season 2. I believe im missing 4.

I definitely remember two of the missing- and it's two of my favorite episodes.
One of my all time favorite shows. Great acting by the regular cast and an amazing array of guest stars.
