Added features of the ESAM5600SL include the touch screen control panel display, rapid steam boiler and a 8.8oz. bean hopper compared to 5.3oz. bean hopper.
Whole latte love, I just scored on of these ESAM5600SL for $300. Only issue is the machine does not pick up the milk from the carafe. Seems like a vacuum pressure problem, like o-rings. Any suggestions
Hi William, This is an older model which is no longer available so I can't make a physical check. According to some quick research of manuals etc. it seems as though the machine does not have or accommodate the in-tank filter that is typical of most super-automatic machines. There are other options like pad filters that sit in the tank and remove/reduce chlorine and mineral levels. Here's a good one: www.wholelattelove.com/products/bwt-bestsave-m-anti-scale-filter

Very well done and very informative.
The 6700 is a larger machine and has push button LCD read-out and a higher wattage thermoblock.

What's the height of this machine?
Just under 15 inch so that it fits under most standard size cupboards.
It's milk, not malk🙄
