Mr. Horn, the word genius is overused, but fitting in your case. The results of your work speak for themselves. Thank you for all your wonderful creations.
So we call Trevor Horn other things: innovator, visionary, keen observer, inventive. Yes, genius undersells him. But he vigorously uses toilet paper like you and me.
What an amazing musician. Back in the 1980's I purchased Alan Parsons' Fairlight IIx and it had on the original RS page and sounds for Two Tribes, along with AON's Close to the Edit. I can only presume that my Fairlight passed through Sarm Studios, or someone copied the original sequences and sounds onto it. Before I sold it I transferred them over to my Series III and also recorded them and still have them to this day. I also saw Trevor Horn play at a charity event at the Roundhouse in 2022 and was in awe. Trevor, wherever you are, you're a star!
Oh wow, no way, that is so awesome. Lucky lucky!!! And then you found an original copy of the Bible... which was nice!! Hahaha. And yes, he certainly is!!
Trevor's autobiography states how hard this bass part is to play (as authored by Mark from the Frankies) - awesome rendition here Trevor - you've still got it!
Trevor’s bass playing here is amazing. He’s playing a blue John Carruthers’ 5 string. I bought the almost the exact same bass in the 90s but returned it because I was just used to 4 strings. I still am.
All I can say is Trevor Horn invented dance music with my favourite act of all time ART OF NOISE the seduction of Claude Debussy a forgotten masterpeice love Paulie from Aussie land
An excellent arrangement superbly played with great sound (expect nothing else from TH), and spot-on editing. Well done to all involved. Any chance of a UK tour guys?
Loved this. Saw him at Hammersmith Apollo just after Human Racing and loved it. Some of the most intelligent, complex, pop music ever. What a top guy and great songs. Pop at its best.
Wonderful stuff from the Master, I was from an earlier generation and grew up on 1950s, 60s and 70s music but Trevor Horn’s productions had me buying into the albums he produced. Didn’t think much of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, but the finish productions of the records rose above the ‘performers’ that fronted them.
Cheers trev was totally mesmerised by that bass line aged 13 i was too young to know you detuned it so i struggled like buggery to play along to it😂..love your stuff would love to be back on stage myself but no one wants a stadium class 53 yr old bass player who youth once said was up there with guy pratt.
Dived the outside of the island in 2019, really lovely diving, with some flying fish added in... 😊 On my list to go back at some point, love the Azores...
This is the very best version, remix if you will, of this infamous track, hands down, and I am a massive fan of FGTH. I know the history, original creators of this 80's incredible track, production team, label, etc. However, Tevor Horn and his band, recreated what was already a masterpiece, and turned it into solid gold! Please come with your incredible band to Vancouver, British Columbia, (BC) Canada, Trevor. To borrow an ABBA's (another amazing 80's band) track title:: "Thank You For The Music," Trevor Horn. Your music never gets old, monotonous, mundane, or cookie-cutter style. No, it always remains fresh, groovy, slightly aggressive, and like great Italian wine, it always gets better with age. In other words, first class music. Best Regards & Respect, ~STEPHEN W., Kelowna, BC, Canada.
Proving again that Trevor Horn’s work was ahead of it’s time - especially on FGTH’s WTTPD album. This song has been a part of the soundtrack to my life for 40 years. Musically it’s incredible, but it’s a shame he couldn‘t get / didn‘t want a vocalist to join him in Vegas. Maybe more people would have attended 🤷♂
by Mark O'Toole - NOT Trevor Horn. It was fully realised song way before Horn got his hands on it, including the bass line. i have the John Peel session (October 1982) to prove it. Now give respect where its due.
Great to hear an instrumental rendition of this absolute classic. Props to Trevor Horn, can anyone name the lead-guitarist please - I really enjoyed hearing his tone
@@CliffMcAulay you still fail to explain why that is ! At least with Trevor Horn, there is plenty of evidence to prove he's pretty damn good at what he does, Holly Johnson on the other hand......I'm left clutching at straws here.....

Did you play on the FGTH Peel Sessions, Trevor? I’m asking this because the version of Two Tribes had a very similar bass line … not as polished … but the same notes.
@@Clem_Fandango11That is the story we hear today. And I think it’s a story that is hurtful to members of FGTH, who were consummate musicians. I knew that the Buggles were briefly involved with Yes, but I never realised how much Horn was influenced by Chris Squire. This bass performance could almost be a tribute to him. Not a criticism, by the way, it is great. Thanks for posting.
Superb! I’ve always liked this track and this rendition is mind blowing.
This is giving me the Horn!

Really good music! Thanks Trevor!!
Fantastic, such energy!
This absolutely ROCKS!
Watch this at least twice a week brilliant 👏
Wow ,an epic piece of stunning musical ability by all involved ,absolutely brilliant !
Horn was always a fantastic bassist. Some of the fretless stuff is stellar, underrated player.
Frankie's bassist is a beast (watch their live performances to see what I mean). But I think Horn's actually playing this one better here.
One of the most powerful and inspiring pieces of music ever. Fantastic 🎉
Thanks for all the good work, Mr. Horn.
Which is a lot.
Trev on bass, full, full of energy.
missing some vocals though.... surely they could've got someone in? Doesn't work as an instrumental IMHO, even though the musicianship is great.
"Old geezer kicks 4r$e!" - Incredible! Happy Birthday Trevor!
Trevor Horn, Genius engineer and producer. WTTPD was a masterpiece that probably wouldn't have happened but for him.
The "Go!" at the begining makes me smile everytime! 🎶
fabulous!

There seem to be as many empty seats as there are audience members.

A mastermind in action.

Bookmarked this ready for the 4 minute warning...
Wow! Trevor and the gang kick ass !!!!
I do have to admit that Drama is still one of my favorite Yes albums!
So fuckin cool, hope to see these guys live soon
What a great sounding bass
Just brilliant
Post punk meets the ting tings meets modern sharp production. Exciting!
I can't believe how empty it is, where is everyone ? Perhaps, it needed to be in the UK not Vegas ?
Thats what I thought....
Fantastic Playing Trevor! You make me reach for my Plec.😂 Best wishes Sir.
