- Romance en Lima was composed while Alfred Feenstra and his wife were visiting the capital of Peru in October 2019. They were exploring the city and came accross a colorful park full of tile mosaic and writings inspired by love. The name of the park was "Parque del amor" - "Love park". As soon as they got back to their hotel, he started playing the guitar and Romance en Lima came into existence.
Full score of the piece: alfredfeenstra...
Born in The Hague in The Netherlands Alfred first became interested in classical guitar and its rich heritage at the age of 14 while visiting Spain for the first time. He's been playing, studying and composing for guitar ever since and has lived in a village near Valencia for more than 30 years. He's actively involved with the classical guitar community there, among other things by being the founder of the “Guitar Festival Joaquin Rodrigo", a festival taking place in the village of Quartell, where Joaquin Rodrigo spent his childhood years.
