The sun is the god visible to every being, is the basis of life of all creatures on earth.Along with the Sun God, Chhathi Maiya is also worshipped on this day. It is celebrated six days after Diwali.Chhatt Puja is celebrated in certain states in North India namely Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar. It is also popular in Nepal.
