That raw grief….it’s heartbreaking. I’m a mortician and I deal with grieving families all the time. This is different though. It’s letting them go knowing this is it. Ughhh lord…I can’t imagine. I have so much love and admiration for those who choose to donate their loved one's organs. It was this generosity, at a terrible time, which gave a dear friend a kidney when both of his had failed. He doesn't smoke or drink out of respect for the wonderful family who made such a generous decision.
As a mother of three beautiful and amazing daughters I could never imagine the pain of losing one of them. This young man had to leave his family way too soon. The love shown by all for this young man and his family is overwhelming beautiful. May his love never leave their hearts.

❤️...I have had 2 corneal transplants done ... 1991 and 1994 . Back then, we were not allowed to know anything about the donor. But daily from then, I have prayed every morning for their beautiful souls and for the well being of their families. I got the gift of sight and was able to fulfil my dream of becoming a doctor. To the families of all organ donors.... please know that your loved one continues to live through someone else. 🌹🙏
When my dad died.. he had a massive heart attack.. the drs didn't know how much his organs were affected due to lack of oxygen.. the one thing they were able to take tho were his eyes
I have never understood why someone wouldn't donate organs. We don't need them as we pass away and we can make other people's lives so much better and give them longer lives. Thank you to everyone who donates organs. What a wonderful, selfless gift.

These are so hard to watch but so important. I cry for the families for the donor and also for families of those receiving these gifts. I also cry for being so proud of the patient and families that give these gifts of life. This is probably the single most hardest thing parents or families of these donors.
