Many of us dream of living outside USA. I would life to hear more about possible pro and con about living in area's you visit. It would add another facet to your channel. I dont want to live on a ship but i may like it in Dominican Republic. Thanks love your channel. 😊
DR is on my bucket list. Thanks for bringing us along with you! Kelvin is also my brother’s name. Not a lot of people have that name so I was surprised to see someone in DR named that too!
I was there December 7, 2024 with Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas. We went to Emotions Beach Resort and had a great time there. Glad that you enjoyed your visit there.
I love Taino Bay cruise port. It has a lot of amenities and you don't need an excursion. We dock there on Celebrity and Virgin Voyages cruises. It's only a 15 minute walk to Independence Plaza. I loved umbrella street, pink street and blue Jaktar Beach on Playa Dorada.
@@iriswagstaff I've never been to Taino Bay. It's weird to me that these ports were only built recently! 👀🫤🤷🏽♀️If I get the chance to go, now I know I don't need an excursion. Thanks.
@lynettej777 hmmm. I didn't get the same sentiment. I saw a couple of buildings with the 2nd story balcony and rod iron railings, but that was the only thing I can think of that's similar to NOLA.
Hello, from Ms. Lisa from Philly. Love this video. I will be cruising in May on Mardi Gras again. We are stopping at Amber Cove too. I definitely want to take this tour too. Did you book thru Carnival or outside? The Rum factory, was there a discard bucket 🪣 if you don’t like the taste? 😅 I’m not a drinker, but will try anything once! YOLO! 😂 I will be retiring soon & want to cruise/travel more. 🛳️ I’m platinum & can’t wait for my next cruise! I have 3 more booked already. Keep sending us great videos & we’ll kept watching! Sail on! 🛳️🛳️🛳️
Hi Ms. Lisa 👋Thanks for watching. I always book my excursions as I feel my peace of mind is worth the extra costs of booking with them. Yes, there is always a discard bucket on these tours. I'm not a big alcohol drinker so I go in with the mindset of trying something new, but 1/2 way expecting not to finish it 😆#TeamPlatinum The laundry perk is everything for me! 😂Ok. I will do my best to keep it going as long as God allows me. Thanks again for watching and commenting. 🤗🚢
@PovertyToParadise yes ma'am. I LOVE that you are doing something that I'm wishing I can do in retirement in 4 (maybe) years. I hope that you continue to have a great life.
Yes, it was SUPER FUN but I am saddened that is your takeaway from this video. I rarely drink, only tasted 2 of 10 drinks they gave out, didn't buy any alcohol and had the BEST time! Sorry I wasn't able to relay that for you. This was a REALLY great excursion. 🤗🌻
@PovertyToParadise good that makes me feel better, I was starting to feel like the excursion was a bunch of sales pitches with a 20 minute slot for the downtown, which seems like not enough time, but then again I know some plazas were really small so maybe that was the case with this downtown plaza. Also, I didn't mean to imply you were a drinker, I just know on a lot of tours I have been on they seem to always take you to a vendor (usually alcohol), which are not interesting to me, but I know some people do like them.
On the cruise websites they all mention double occupancy. Do single travelers have to pay double fare or do they put you in a cabin with another single traveler?
@Ziffel22 the cabin price remains the same. If you don't have someone to split the cabin total, you will pay for the full cabin. Example, cabin $4000, double occupancy $2000/pp (2 people = $4000), single occupancy $4000/pp (1 person = $4000). And No, they will never put anyone in your cabin. You are in control of that.
Been to the DR multiple times and love it as well .We cruise almost monthly ☺️ Love your channel, keep up the good work.
Very nice excursion tour !!!
I’m so glad you shared this video, I’m going to look into this excursion for my upcoming November cruise to Amber Cove🛳️🛳️ Thanks for sharing

Hey! You're Beautiful, Too!❤😊
I was in Amber Cove the day after Christmas. It was the best time ever. I agree that the vibe was everything.
He’s a very good tour guide.
Awesome video 🎉 now I Have The Puerto Plata, To My travel Buck List 😅

Happy New Year Lynelle! Thank you so much for sharing these moments from your trip! I can't wait to be in that number.
I have some friends who.lived in the Dominican Republic for years. They finally came back to the US for health reasons. They loved it there.
Its a beautiful country; people have been nice when I visited. They have great food and don't have all of the "junk" in their food like USA does.
Looks like a great tour! We would take this one if we ever get to DR. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. We truly love your channel.
Awwww, thank you and thanks for watching. 🤗
Ill be there in 2 days :)

Hi Lynelle,
Thanks for taking us along. Much of the area reminds me of NOLA, would you agree? 🛳 🚢 ⚓️ 🎉

Looks like fun, but I am not into alcohol so I am not so sure I would care about all the alcohol stops.
