Yeah, there's alot of green space there. Humboldt Park and the surrounding communities is pretty much a concrete jungle, so you'll find lots and lots people there bbqing and enjoying themselves at that park especially on the weekends.
The community had an amazing recovery. I spent a happy boyhood there in the 60s. We fled in 1970 after white flight due to new Puerto Rican arrivals - gangs, drugs, arson, PR tribal bulling at school (Layfette).
the lagoons have changed, maybe need a little dredging: they were made w. horse and plow scoop.--you flew over our house at 3240 W Hirsch. next to our vacant lot, by Lowell School.
Very cool looking video of the city and park, nice job on the flying of the drone. Keep up the flying, its looking good. Thank you for sharing and have a good day!
Despite Humboldt park's reputation for being violent,I have beautiful memories of being there during the fests and parades with friends. I used to feed the birds at the lagoon. Sometimes I would go to the lagoon at night to look at the water. Think and reflect. Peaceful.
for a large city, chicago has so many trees, even in the non-park areas!
great tour. thanks. the Stable is looking good, and most people don't know the building is there.
Didn’t know there was so much green space that way. That’s nice!
