Air suspension has been around for a very long time but a lot of people are still clueless . Sometimes at a red light I’ll air out and people would think something is wrong with my car. And one time I aired out in back of another car at the light and he got out to look at his back bumper cause he thought I hit him.
mobb member I know right, another time at the light there was a cop next to me , and I felt a little brave so I aired out on him and he gave me a thumbs up, lol. The reactions on people’s faces are priceless when your on air. Sometimes I try so hard not to play with it but it’s just so much fun .
You probably already know this but if you don't, airbag suspension is great for impressing your mates and comfy as a cloud. But they really are the exact opposite of the kind of suspension you want for handling. That being said, it's your car, your decision
I honestly prefer static suspension way more then bags, but if I wanted to chose between like lowrider hydraulics and static I feel like bags are the happy medium between the too
I thought that for the longest time but no more messing bumpers bending fenders bottoming out no more drive ways I have to avoid and I static does ride better imo but bags are the way to go bad part is intalation cost and price Tag 5k+ static 1k they are both nice tho
@@FightPropaganda first of all Air suspensions for racing is a whole nother argument I had a real toxic one a while ago and on top of that it has nothing to do with this conversation. All the person said was the wheel gap doesn't look as good as the snug fitment but that's to be expected. On some cars like classic American muscle , hot rods and lowriders that Gap with a nice meaty tire and a white wall looks good.
You can have best of both worlds. Air suspension allows more versatility on the fly than any other suspension. The problem is some people arent interested in balance. They lean more towards how nice the car looks slammed as opposed to how it looks at ride height. They will get small wheels with thin stretched tires and ridiculous camber to achieve lip to fender fitment and to further lay frame but when they air up it looks like small daytons poking out of the car with all kinds of wheel gap. I have a 2SS Camaro with a concave staggered wheel setup. I wanted to : 1. keep some meat on my tires 2. Keep within 28" diameter so I wouldn't screw up my braking, ABS and stabilitrak 3. Avoid increasing cabin noise and vibration 4. Remove fender gap while on ride height and still drive relatively normal. 5. Avoid insane camber, eating through tires and maintain comfort. The trade off is I had to give up a few millimeters in slam height and I went with a tucked fitment. I didnt spend all this money on air suspension to look ridiculous and be uncomfortable while I'm driving just to look cool while I'm parked.
@@MotoringMayhem 😅 aish one day bru we ll have it..i think i ll never lift it up..drive it all day slammed..wheels tucked it..make people wonder how is he driving this...then lift it up and then down..then drive off..leave them spooked 😆
Like most things you get cheap kits around R15000 and then up to as much as you willing to pay. A decent kit will probably cost you around R40000, but I'm no expert when it comes to this, just a bit fan :-)
I'm a stance man, so I'm more into looks than performance. Be warned though, there is weekly maintenance involved after fitting air suspension to your car.
Some videos are edited to include the sound. You're not alone. I have airlift and I can only hear the airout when I'm inside my vehicle. I've been to car meets and those with air suspension I've never heard them airing out when I'm standing outside their car. I hear some people run a tube from their manifold to the outside of their vehicle so it can be heard from outside. I've never witnessed this though and I don't care enough to go that route on my own.
Typically because the air management/module is setup in the trunk with the tank and compressor(s). The rear wheels are at the trunk area so the air lines to the rear bags have a shorter travel distance than the lines running to the front of the car. There are devices you can attach to the lines to regulate the air release to drop and raise in unison.
@@MotoringMayhem Do you guys actually call them Ballades or Civics? Because these are very well knows cars and they´re called Civics practically everywhere, so that got me wondering whether you guys actually adhere to the domestic name for it or the internationally established one

The chances of blowing or popping a bag are extremely unlikely as long as you don’t over inflate, or install them wrong, plenty of guys install bags on there brz, max out the camber plates and pop the bag due to a bolt that extrudes from the frame. Proper installation and maintenance is key with bags

Such nice ambient sound on this video, I really appreciate it. Not a lot of people take the time to get the sound of a video as nice as the footage.
Thanks! I got lucky on this one. Usually there is a lot of wind noise in video here in Cape Town 😎

How to make air suspension sound like that.
Ngtl I prefer when they air out slowly instead of like almost instantly

Go with the 1/4 air lines then. Avoid the 3/8 lines. Those air up and out quickly AND they are more of a pain to run through your vehicle's interior.
