To be honest i can’t say for sure since i ran this grill for about 2 years before i had to open it up and i bought it pre-assembled. If i were to guess, i think the motor was making all the noise while i had the components all exposed since there is a plastic fan that makes a bunch of noise. It sounds normal now that it’s all put back together now though, so hopefully that’s all it was in my case
