Further episodes of my life in Hong Kong around 1950/1. It was taken on 9,5mm film quite unknown in the Far East. The film is damaged. Sound added by me presently.

The pictures are definitely historical but for the majority of us who are Chinese, living in Hong Kong at that time was a period of racism, and bigotry . Please note the genteel British gentleman picnic clothes compared to the local Chinese .

Luna Park was in North Point of HONG KONG ISLAND. It was not in Kowloon.

Hello Michael, thank you for another precious video !! While growing up, I hear so much about HongKong and China. My estimate is that my late father would have been in HongKong during the Second World War. My father was contracted by the British Phosphate Commissioners BPC to Nauru and Ocean Island. Then, in 1950, my late mother passed through HongKong, with my eldest sister, bound for Christmas Island. All very interesting. Thank you again, Michael !!
