So relieved I'm not the only one weirdly feeling this pairing then SPOILERS FOR HELLBLADE II Fr I though this had so much potential if given the proper time, development and execution. He was so opposite yet similar to Senua (being on opposite sides of the conflict initially, yet both being proud warriors who have to come to terms with their shitty fathers in positions of power). Another parallel arc could have been him continuing his redemption arc and overcoming his guilt over contributing to his father's cruelty as Senua overcomes her guilt over being "cursed" and "bringing death wherever she goes" (obviously Thorgestr's guilt would be legitimate while Senua's is simply her internalizing other people's superstition and ignorance, but parallel arcs don't have to be 1:1. The point is there are more journeys they could have had together). Imagine the drama of Senua not only developing feelings for another man (which is always rough for people still grieving a lost partner but also a very human thing to explore along with the rest of the story's grief-related topics) but also said man being a Northman and ex-viking to boot (and even on his end, there would be a lot to process. If you have the Others do the narration instead, in Thorgestr's bit he says in a very angsty way something along the lines of "it wasn't me who killed her lover, but it might have been. It was someone *like* me. It breaks my heart..." I also appreciate that his narration basically confirmed my inkling that despite him acting hostile when she took him captive he was secretly thinking she's kinda cool for kicking his ass lol). I'm so mad we won't get any of this, it could have been juicy while still adding to the story's themes of empathy, guilt, forgiveness and breaking cycles of grief and conflict. We really didn't need another Dillion situation at the last minute and for what? Drama? Anyway, thank you for attending my salty TEDtalk that nobody asked for.
@@chiefpurrfect8389 This is very painful, cause in the game files there are voiced lines in which Thorgestr is alive and banishes his father after battle. Repeating Dillion's case was a strange and cruel decision. Thanks for your TED talk, it was really important for me to read this.
@@BlentasticGlad too see more games taking inspiration from Northmen & Vinland Saga. Wish he feint’d his attacks more though, but that’s just being a dark souls fan & wanting less telegraphed attacks in general.
I have a capture card so it’s easy. If you do it from Xbox. Turned down the sounds except for music. Go into settings and I think you can only record up to 10 minutes with Xbox if you want to record
God damn heilung went hard on this soundtrack, i fucking love it tbh
Exactly could listen to it all day
there were more bands than heilung working on the soundtrack, if you read the credits you'll know the names...
I was gripping my controller and gritting my teeth like crazy during this song. Such a blood pumping tune
Thanks for making these, adding the 'looped' fights is a nice touch
Ofcourse your welcome
Thanks, been looking everywhere for this banger ever since I played it. This music feels so good at max volume, You are a legend sir.
Best romantic scene according to girls: Geralt and Yennefer, femShep and Garrus, etc.
Best romantic scene according to women: THIS ONE
lol makes sense to me
Ooo, a fellow Thórgestr x Senua shipper!

Strangely, I found Thorgestr to be the hardest fight in the game
He was the most glorious. It was heavy. Weight worn. Struggle incarnate. It was romance
@@Blentastic It could not have been said better
aren't they all the same?
