It is actually true Ngugi said that Max would one day gang up, with whatever tribe he comes from, against the family and that he should be seen as that possible enemy. Right after the court battle and despite being awarded stuff, he clearly stated that he was at peace with his adopted family and needed nothing. But that suddenly changed when he went out and was convinced by outsiders to not only demand what was awarded to him but to evict his family. Imagine a street boy you have raised to age 26 and even paid for him to go to Canada despite his poor English turning against you. And to make matters worse he is chest thumbing how he is moving under tight security obviously to be paid for by his inheritance from the adopted family. Nguash too saw this coming but was helpless in the face of the trusting and convincing mother.

It is actually true Ngugi said that Max would one day gang up, with whatever tribe he comes from, against the family and that he should be seen as that possible enemy. Right after the court battle and despite being awarded stuff, he clearly stated that he was at peace with his adopted family and needed nothing. But that suddenly changed when he went out and was convinced by outsiders to not only demand what was awarded to him but to evict his family. Imagine a street boy you have raised to age 26 and even paid for him to go to Canada despite his poor English turning against you. And to make matters worse he is chest thumbing how he is moving under tight security obviously to be paid for by his inheritance from the adopted family. Nguash too saw this coming but was helpless in the face of the trusting and convincing mother.
He will come down and regret putting his family in such great pain, but no one will ever trust him.
