      Forget it Everyone who made it big ever was probably damaged goods. Hollywood is not for the nice guys and gals, you gotta have that Acquaintance of Epstein's pedo, drugy, Slave serve rich master, erand boy, sleep around with anyone, share nudes on the dark web kinda faulty side to you.. And then maybe with a little talent and lot's of luck, MAYBE!

      Originally he was a stand up comedian in Australia. Thanks to a real Australian gangster he made it into movies. The rest is history. I'm sure he'll be delighted to have been in films such as Troy and Munich (where he's got the main part). Not underrated at all. Maybe he could have had a career as big as Russel Crowe though.

    Hector's biggest mistake was that the moment he realized that Helen was on the ship he should have turned back ask 1000x forgiveness and punish his idiot brother accordingly.
    Instead he gave a simple excuse for war. Hector was a fool with principles and payed the price!!

    • @loganshocky922
      @loganshocky922 6 лет назад

      Gutvald Diomedes had help from Athena though otherwise he would not have been able to beat Ares. Never read the Illiad(just going by wha people comment on about it) so I am not sure if he had help from Athena when it came to Apollo and Aphrodite but I know she helped him beat Ares. Diomedes sounds badass from what I hear but I think people tend to overhype him when it comes to his accomplishments as he had help from the gods(then again, almost every major chaacter in the story had devine help from time to time). As for the demigods quote posted by yoboyrob201, Achilles was indeed superhuman(stronger than Ajax the Greater who himself was most likely superhuman, faster than Ajax the Lesser who was pretty darn fast, ect.) but not to the extent of TRUE superhumans like Hercules and Kratos who are both physically capable of KILLING the olympian gods\godesses while other demigods are just able to simply stand up to them and, if lucky enough, hurt\wound them.

    • @Gutvald
      @Gutvald 6 лет назад

      Well I don"t think Greeks stories are enough precise to really make a sort of top 3 of heroes you know, it's not Marvel . I just remember that Diomedes, with the help of Athena, can see the other gods on the battlefield, and hurt Aphrodite, and then flee in front of Hector and Ares. Don"t know if it makes him better than Achille or other, and it's not really the point of the story in my opinion.

War begins and Hector kills Achilles cousin. Finally of course, Achilles kills Hector. Everything starts from Hector's brother's affairs. So, is Hector a better man than achilles, maybe. If he is also better than his brother and would likely still be alive according to the movie's version of the story.

    This movie was historically mythically so accurate 1. Hector did successfully hit Achillies several times but his armor was made by Hephaustes and brought by her goddess mother and it cannot be penetrated
    2. Achillies’s weakness and lifeline was in his ankle and Hector aimed tried to hit it. Loved when movies were used to made like this

In that movie, when Achilles is dragging the slain Hector, the guards alongwith Paris rain arrows on Achilles and one of the arrows finds it's mark in Achilles heels and he dies. I saw that movie about 40 years back.

    Critics slammed this movie when it came out. Now it's considered a modern classic, as it should be. Audiences loved it. Yes, it's very different from the literature, but they really did a great job packing it into one movie. "IS THERE NO ONE ELSE!?" is just as quoted as "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?". Props to all the actors, they were all excellent.

    I think this might be, the closest scene to being accurate when comparing to the Iliad. Even after knowing the Iliad I was rooting for the Trojans the whole time. In the movie it's even stronger. When the invasion force was on the beach, they gave an heroic music for Achilles and not rightfully so. It made me rooting for the Trojans even more. In this scene, sure Achilles was furious on Patroclus but nobody forced the kid to come anyway.
