- Welcome back to another video! This week we are kicking it off crossing the border into Western Australia and heading for Kununurra to start our Kimberly adventures before starting the Gibb River Road. Chelsea loses her plant at the quarantine checkpoint but we have a hack to keep our salad and veg!
First stop in Kununurra is Ivanhoe crossing which is flowing the fastest weve ever seen it. A trip over the diversion dam to see the water pumping and the gate keeper crocodile at the bottom. Bryce messes up a simple breakfast but makes it up by heading to the hoochery that afternoon for some rum and gin tastings.
We get our own personal guide on the upper ord river with friends Luke and Alana and there 3 kids exploring hidden creeks off the main river.
To kick off starting the Gibb River Road we get the famous photo with the sign before making our way to Emma gorge which is part of El Questro, a walk to 2 swimming holes to cool off after a long hot hike.

OMG there are so many places along the Gibb that I can’t begin to tell you all my favourite places. All I can say is that I spent almost a month travelling along it and the surrounds and I didn’t see half of everything available so I can’t wait to get back there. I hope you enjoy it and the spectacular scenery there. The Kimberley and Gib are my favourite places in the world. It is very tough and very unforgiving but worth every minute, trial and tribulation that you may or may not face. Just enjoy, stay well and safe.😍❤
That’s fantastic Debra that you enjoyed your trip so much 😃 beautiful part of Australia for sure
Your account of facing the biggest test in five years of travel on the Gibb River Road is both compelling and inspiring. The way you navigate and overcome the challenges with resilience and determination truly reflects your adventurous spirit and adaptability. Your detailed journey through this demanding terrain not only showcases your experience but also offers valuable insights for fellow travelers. And I am Floating Village Life.

Thanks for watching!
The first and last sticker that’s for sure 👍🏽😃
Enjoy your adventures, hopefully one day I might get to experience more of this country
Thanks for watching!
Stickers plastered like that sign is does my head in. Bells Gorge was our favourite place on the Gibb. Really looking forward to your adventures. We hit the Gibb west to east later in the year. May pass you somewhere in W.A. 😄👍
Yes when you can’t actually see the writing on the sign anymore 😔
Safe travels!
Emma gorge looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures along the Gibb.
Thanks so much! 👍🏽
Hi guys. We are enjoying your travels. I done the Gibb in 1998 with a 4wd club , we all had great fun. There was no park fees back then 😊. Just be careful with the road conditions, the corrugations can be horrendous. May have to let your tyres down to approximately 35 psi. It will soften the ride on caravan as well. Don't rush drive to the road conditions. It's a beautiful part of Australia along that road. There are alot of swimming spots to come. Take care. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures. Regards Gary and Jane xx
Hey Gary and Jane! Thanks so much for the tips!
It would have been amazing to see back in 1998. Not as many people around back then I’m sure 🤩
We were here about 2years ago, loved the revisit to this amazing area with you guys, great vid, thank
Thanks for watching! 👍🏽
Wonderfully captured! Was there at Emma Gorge 1 week ago (yes, it was cold in the water!), heading west with a Ranger and van (currently at Gibb River Crossing). So far, so good!
Enjoy! Our favourite was Gibb River free camp 👌🏾
Absolutely recommend Mount Elizabeth Station. The gorge is amazing, the rock art incredible and the Station offers a great communal steak dinner. Really encourage you guys to get there. We did it last year
Awesome! Thanks so much for the recommendation
Heading that way with couple fur babies when we get back on the road after a long break and love, love love seeing where you can and cannot take juice
It’s so dog friendly on The Gibb and the Kimberley’s
Fantastic vid guys, loving the way you react with each other and your content is beautiful. Thanks for taking us on your adventures 😊
Hey thanks so much 👍🏽😃

Hi guys I hope you have an awesome trip on the Gibb River and it is trouble free. I am looking forward to following you along on your travels. I am interested in seeing how the Ford Ranger goes Brice as I have the same tow vehicle. Safe travels and enjoy the trip and keep the great videos coming. Cheers Peter
Hey Peter! Thanks so much 👍🏽😃
Looks great Guys, thanks for the vid.
Never been on the Gibb but would love to sometime for sure.
Hey thanks for watching!
It’s been great. You’ll have to drive it someday 👍🏽
Nice one guys
Looking forward for the rest
Thank you!
Lovely video guys we loved gibb river road! It's 17 degrees here and meant to be summer ☀️ 🇬🇧
Oh wow that’s cold for summer 🥶
We did the Gibb from South to North with a 3.5 tonne van in tow. It was a doddle. We just followed the simple rules: Right foot up and tyres down. The worst bit was fron the GRR to Drysdale River homestead, which took five hours for the 50km journey, and that was just three days after the grader had been though! I had a chat with the crew at Drysdale River and they said that almost all of the horror stories are due to people simply going too fast, and the remainder due to poor quality equipment. The consensus was that almost all of the drivers who had a horror story to tell were under-prepared for the trip.
I hope your Dog was o.k. in the Caravan I hope with the air con on...😅😅😅
Yes always 👍🏽
We haven’t done the full GRR yet, but have been to Emma Gorge twice. Such a magical place. There’s actually a warm spring on the right hand side coming out of the rocks which is delightful after the very refreshing swim. You never know, you might get back there one day.
Yes we only learnt this after the fact 😔 still LOVED Emma Gorge tho 😃👍🏽
Absolutely awesome drone shots guy's need lots more of 'The Gibb' 👍🏻
Thank you!
More coming next week 👍🏽
Certainly a memorable trip to do…. Hope to do it again in another year or two, we also went up to Kalumburu & the Mitchell falls etc…… We had no snorkel & just a on-road van with the axle flipped to gives us more height….. Not even a flat tyre…. But gee… some people were doing twice the speed of us easily.
Wow that’s fantastic!
We’ve seen so many different set ups along the way 😃👍🏽 all about preparation and driving to the conditions hey
Looking forward to watching your Gibb river trip
Thank you! 👍🏽 more to come over the following weeks
That drone shot was amazing. We live in such a beautiful country.
Thank you 🥰
Indeed we do, so don’t let the politicians and others tell us we are not welcome in OUR beautiful Country, especially if you were born here, and your ancestors came out on convict ships.. stand your ground Aussies! ❤
Yes we been there loved it
👍🏽😃
we were there the same day as you , I actually talked to you for couple of minutes at your van. I think emma gorge was amazing
Love watching your channel especially in our Van atm in mission beach. Yell out when your in Noosa next we do Bathrooms and could use a Plumber at times😀 keep up the great work 👍
Hehe just watched this episode. Next time consider salad dressing on your plant to get it into WA 🤣 or hide it IN the salad 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
We’re planning our big lap & we love your videos. Excited to see your time in WA. Sorry you lost your plant and broccolini, great tip about the salad though. Wondering how you go with dried herbs?
We visited Emma Gorge last year. I swam at both spots and loved it. So beautiful. We didn't do the Gibb but hope to in the future.
Great swimming 👍🏽
Great video and good information.
Thank you John!
Loved that place,we were there 2 days ago.

@@marksleightholm2821 yes we will show you over the next few weeks 👍🏽😊
Love to guys so much as it's awesome in watching your RUclips videos. But can I say, Chelsea, you are one very beautiful lady, as so love your smile. Your a lucky man Bryce. Plus Juice, you are one behaved puppy.
Thank you so much for the lovely message 😃🥰
Love it guys! That swimming spot looked amaaaazing! Good idea putting a small child at the front of the boat in case of crocs 😂. What was on your sticker? Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks for watching!
The sticker says ‘Caravan Adventure Aus’ 👍🏽
I'm keen to see how your caravan holds up on the GRR, It's on our list of caravans we are looking at.
Hey! We’ve just finished it actually (videos are a couple weeks behind) and it went AMAZING!
👌🏾👍🏽
that water looks so beautiful
So refreshing! 👌🏾
Excellent!
Nice video! Thanks . I’m interested to see how you get on through WA with a dog and accessing various parks. I believe there are some restrictions and camp sites are pricey. Glad no snorkel must see how you get on.
Hey thanks for watching!
Yes our first time travelling in WA with the pup. 👍🏽🐾
Looking forward to watching your gibb adventures
Thanks so much
Safe travels country looks beautiful
👌🏾👌🏾 thanks for watching Julie

Loved the episode ✌️
Thank you! 👍🏽
Your the best l watched ...rick
Don’t waste money on a snorkel didn’t need it mid June. Love you guys look forward to Sundays. Chips and fresh bread have to try it what else do you put in?
Thanks for watching!
That’s good to know 👍🏽🤿
If they are hot chips you need tomato sauce too haha
Can’t wait to see juice again ❤
He will be keen for a cuddle 🐾🐾
You brought back heaps of memories from our trips to Kununurra and the start of the Gibb River Road. Where’s your drone shot of the Pentecost river crossing. Ivanhoe crossing looked amazing far more water now than I have seen before. Did Kununurra feel safe, always thought it is a great spot. Cheers from Adelaide
Thanks Peter! In this video we haven’t crossed the Pentecost river yet 👍🏽😃 that’s for next week
Epic guys 😎👍
Thanks for watching
Bryce/Chelsea love the vid , but would you put up ur trip /plan route please as I’ve just brought a network rv and looking at going to wa TIA
Hey thanks for watching! 👍🏽
Do you mean a map with each location? 😃
hey guys. could you please advise/suggest what extension mirrors you use. This trip would've given everything a good try out. asking for a friend. Really enjoying your video's. thanks so much & keep up the great work.
Hey thanks for watching!
We use Milenco towing mirrors
@@CaravanAdventureAus Thanks for that Bryce & Chelsea. Keep up the great work I love your videos, & was great comfort to me while off work crook with flu. Envious of what you guys are doing. keep enjoying your travels, & remember look at stuff NOT thorugh the camera lens all the time.
Aren’t those oodles ( juice) great with kids, good luck and have fun on the Gibb.
Yes they are so lovely 🐾 super friendly and gentle with kids 🥰
Umm a cocktail tasting board?! Life changing.
Great Vid.. One Day.....
Hope so! 👍🏽
Yes l did in 2003 and went swimming in the gorge it was cold as.
Hi Bryce and Courtney, love your show. what type of seat cover you to have on the ranger?
Thanks Bernard
Hey mate thanks for watching!
We have razorback neoprene seat covers in the front and some ebay neoprene in the rear 👍
I watched your awkward mistake video a few hours ago and noticed you didn’t have a snorkel…I only just noticed this after all your videos I’ve watched 🤦🏻♂️ dunno if that’s going to hamper your visit to el questro gorge as there’s a deep water crossing to get there ?
Anyway great video loved it so informative and the amazing places you go to are just wow!
Hey thanks so much for watching!
We visit Elquestro next week and yes the water crossing in was very deep still 😳
I would like to out there but I haven’t got a Snorkel enjoy
We didn’t either and are managing fine 👍🏽 just depends on the time of year I think
Thats a mental state boarder!! NSW and QLD have nothing just drive across. How does woollies get all their food in? I'm guessing it can't all be locally WA grown.
Yes we thought the same hey 🤔🤔
Thanks guys Darryl Cape York
Thanks for watching!
Guys,
Seeming you have a puppy with you how about a video of hints and tips and how to’s in regards to travelling with a dog?
@@AdventurzAU we actually have a video from about a year ago 👍🏽
Check out Million Dollar Bogan on their Harley ride on the Gibb. 👍
I wonder if we can take our Galah into western Australia?
Yes I’m sure you’ll be able to. Check the information online
“ just say you love really thin pancakes ricky bobyyy”
If you guys are ever in Brisbane get in touch and I will take you fishing out in Moreton Bay and the Brisbane River.
Thanks mate! Sounds good 👌🏾👍🏽
