I've played enough of the game to do a full review/is it worth it/is payday 3 good video . . . but I can't get a lot of gameplay footage yet for obvious reasons. I ask that you please have patience. Of course, plan on more successful solo stealths in the future

Man, as a payday 2 veteran, i'm so divided on this game, love so many things but abhor so many others... really looking forward to your review to know your thoughts, as i know you're very critical when you have to be.
@@Pathbt i agree. idk if its just my bad luck but i withness objects where 2 cams looking on it, 2 guards plus leadguard and i need to sit there waiting 10yrs, tbh stealth is unnessary draged, bug like vip access dont work (10 full game restarts and every run bugged vip access). dcing

Basically the fanbase in a nutshell at the moment.
One strat I saw from a speed run is to distract the VIP bodyguards by running in the offices right next to it. You have enough time to cross in front of them and hide behind the curtains right in front of the entrance, and then enter the VIP room while they still have their backs turned. Much less painful than this one.
Appreciate you going through the pain for the content though. Loved your vids in PD2, and looking forward to more PD3 video!
I've not been able to replicate that, I've tried before and they always caught me
@@GeneralMcBadass There's a perk can't remember what it's called but I let's you (as long as you have rush) steal things like loose cash and keycards and not be detected by civs. That's what I used to replicate it
Also instead of trying to run straight behind the curtains and I want behind the bar then to the curtains, your less likely to get caught that way
You'd need access to the club's main floor though, not sure what triggers the bouncers at the front but they kept saying he's not getting in on this run.
Only really possible below Overkill as the main floor won't be private. But yes, works perfectly then and you can get the keycard and open the vip door in one swoop. The reason this works is because sprinting in Secure rooms will notify them, but it's pointless since you'll get caught in the private area either way.
Also, just in general keep in mind that you can sprint as much as you want in private areas, guard won't notice or care about it even if you're sprinting right behind them.
And if you find yourself stuck in another cycle of waiting for guards to move away after opening the VIP door, you can just rush past the door and get caught. The cart by the vent will now be movable and you can do that from the break room/vent side.
Bro the matchmaking error took me out at the end of the Gold and Sharke solo last night. I almost punched a hole through my monitor.
The civ who sometimes spots you can only spot you if you dont have rush with the Skill "Social Engineering". If you have Grifter Basic you can prevent her from spotting you by simply walking up to her and thereby gaining rush, which prevents her from detecting you.
that's for private areas, they made that area secure on overkill so the civ can spot you there. i have social engineering and that guy spots you on overkill because of the reclassified area being secure instead of just private.
Civs never spot you in private areas though, I can confirm that Rush stops you getting caught on Overkill@@jonselleck9635
Brutal ending there
The game has a lot of potential, but it desperately needs an offline mode, and a keymapping more similar to PD2 (yes you can change it, and the unintended grenades tossed in stealth are reason enough)
It also seems that they went back for the Payday : the heist, in difficulty and approach, certainly feels a bit unfamiliar compared to PD2.
The gameplay itself is pretty good tho, guns feel better and i love how much you can do in casing mode.
But... having to wait for the server to "grant you access" to a private lobby so you can solo... that is pretty annoying, let alone the potential disconnect from servers that can ruin a great run.
Either way, it happens to be one of the few companies i actually trust to some degree, so i am sure they will find some way to fulfill that player demand.
I digress with the offline mode fix or anything regarding their servers. This is the third time as of recent where they didn’t address the issue with servers.
- The Epic games cross play debacle.
- PD3’s servers already having issues on beta.
- The public release of PD3.

@@j0hnn13K Considering PD2 was not best of best at start, I have feeling we will hear in 5 to 10 years how PD3 is "best heist game ever!" after updates, DLC's and lord knows what else...

I hope you are right, but right now my trust with then has started dwindle. With so (seemingly, I don't own the game for a reason) many problems with this game and other stuff in the past I can only hope.
you can slap a sensor or minicam onto the head guard to get his location any time, you can also stagger guards that are leading you out to fix your cycle times by stepping in and out of the circle repeatedly
I like regular runs as a tutorial showing us how youre doing things, but challenges are fun to watch something that's pretty difficult and unlikely for most players to choose to attempt

I want to get this game but I'm hearing the servers are having their issues for a few days now.

Gen beat me to it. Servers are the least of your worries. They will be fixed eventually but the core game, I’m not so sure of
@@SuperZechs hopefully the devs can turn it around. I used to play a lot of payday 2 back then. Seeing the gameplay of payday 3 makes me interested, aside from the questionable price (I don’t care much about the silver edition but the gold edition is a no-go for me)

For reference, you likely did get XP and the challenge done, but it's buggy right now in that it just doesn't show it in the completion screen. Sometimes the XP granted is delayed until a restart or by doing a follow-up heist. Some challenges right now will be stuck at, like "100/100" but will technically have already been completed and have granted XP, and some challenges will remain 'locked' yet you'll still actually be attaining the requirements for them. Seems the tracking system is at least somewhat independent of the UI and experience/infamy scoring.
Found a way to pass the door with the key card. The right guard spot you. You let him walk you away (2/3 second) then you stole the card in front of the left one. The left one will want to arrest you. You hack his radio. The right one is going back to his place but during this time, you can use the keycard and pass the door without detection (i stay in front of the door waiting and the right one isn't doing shit... Just stick to the door) Tried three times today, it worked everytime. 30 sec from the start i was in.
how do you hack the guards radio when he already wants to arrest you? is it another perk? I can only do it before i get caught
@@Jacopski It's the same perk, you must hack him before he arrest you. That's why you can't be next to him when you steal the card. You must have the time to hack him while he is walking in your direction to arrest you. Start hacking his radio immediately after stealing the card help.
@@Jacopski Just hack it's not hard. If you start the hack while he is already in your face it's probably over. But if you want practice go stand in front of the camera dude guard (the one that watches cameras) and wait till his bar is almost full or full and start hacking. He will never look at cameras ever again for that run. And you can practice the timing of the arrest hack.

I used a method i havent seen anyone use yet i grab the painting from the upstairs VIP area an use that to distract the guard on left who doesnt step forward and as the keycard guard does step forward you pop behind an yoink, its pretty neat to see the diffrent ways to go about it haha {i was running solo so no teammates to distract guards either}
After the doors are open, you can remove the vent inside the staff room next to it and move the barricade so u can crouch in! (Only works after the doors have been opened)
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but you can follow the path of getting the qr code from rifkin's phone, open the display case, ONLY grab the painting, then throw it on the ground in front of left bouncer. He investigates it, giving you enough time to grab the keycard, open the door, and then pick up the bag before he radios it in and triggers a search.
Best thing to do is get the skill that lets you uncuff yourself and grab the runtime routine for looping cameras. Go through the right side like you did to sneak behind the 2 bouncers at the door. Steal the keycard from the bouncer and instantly unlock the door. The guard will come over and cuff you. Afterwards uncuff yourself and go through the door. Go down the stairs and open the door on your right with the keycard. Pass through the vent and follow the right side vents to to get access to the accounting office. Ended up finding the red keycard in the safe. Proceeded down to the first floor and went to the IT room to look for the correct switch to flip back in the blue keycard room. After that it should be chill following the same path back. It's pretty easy if you use the cuff method to bypass the bouncers at the door, but it does make everyone start searching.

I really would love to see more content from you and I'd also love to be able to enjoy the game so far I've jankily completed every heist whenever the game decided to let me play them. And now it's at the point where I just d/c every run. I really want to grind the crap out of this game, but I can barely get through matchmaking, let alone finishing the heist before I d/c. it just boggles me that there isn't an offline mode. Solo stealthing is the pinnacle of payday. I love the challenge of stealth games and payday 2 perfectly satisfied me until it got old, now that I have this I want to do so much with it but I'm stuck listening to someone talk while I stare at there face and the same like 3-4 second loop of music is playing the whole time, literally matchmaking simulator.
Been waiting for months for its release...just to watch your videos again. Enjoyed all your payday vids!!!

You missed two things to make it less painful. First is Spycam on lead guard, thing is you can easily mark him and track if throw it between legs. Second is sound, you may lure any guard via sprint in Secure Area, specifically these bouncers. Cool thing about sound - closed doors is reduce the radius where you are could be heard.
Cool tip if you want to use, throwing knives can be used as a lure for guards.

I don't know if this works, but on lower difficulties I entered the VIP room by throwing one of the paintings in front of the bouncers. It distracts both of them and I can get the card, then enter inside in one go.
With everything being a private area I don't know if you can get to a good position for this to work, but it's worth a try ^ - ^
honestly my way to aproach this heist in overkill is to do the same thing of walking to the back into that room where the keycard scanner could be, BUT, instead of trying some shenerigans to get blue keycard or the VIP pass, i open the door next to the entrance to the lower floor and run towards the bartender, making both bouncers check out the noise ( becose you ran while in a secure area), then i pick the keycard while they are going to the back of the bar and imidiatly swoops in the VIP room.
then in the lower part it varies since it changes when doing a new heist, but since you don't have acsess to the area, putting up the mask is fair play, i recomend checking which door has a bouncer on front, which is where the crypto wallet is, if you don't wanna go though the door remember that all of the backrooms have in one way or another a ventilation system, making keycards sort of useless.

There is a strat involving the hack radio skill that allows you to get into the VIP area within 30 seconds. I complete overkill runs stealth with no mask in about 5 minutes with it.
When the guards walk you out, you can follow them straight back through the front door, the guards at the front don’t notice you entering because it’s public, as long as you can unlock the door on the way out
amazing as always - one quality of life tip though
you can just use the radio hack from hacker on the other guard and grifter (so the civs ignore) to skip the escort and use the card in like the first 2 mins

once the doors open you can just use the side vent in the other room, the thing is pushable once the doors open
I was 1.5 hours into attempts to stealth gold and sharke on overkill with a random in a lobby and we had figured everything out and had a plan and route and we were moving the bags to the van right when the server DC'd, I swear they're doing it on purpose
Watching this reminded me to not buy the game until solo games work offline.
You could also try to get spotted by left bouncer distrupt him with the glitch protocol and quickly take key and swipe while being behind the right guy its really rng
If you go upstairs to the office and then back the managers phone, you get a blank key card, then find a keycard reader in one of the upper vip rooms across of the office of the card after you got the blank card. Then you have free passage to the VIP area downstairs. If you angle it just right after passing the guards you can pickpocket the card from the guard. Easypeasy
An easier method that bypasses the civ in that office entirely is: Instead of going past the first guard in the secure area beyond kitchen (heading toward office with civ) you go through the door the guard comes through into the main club (preferably after the guard walks past so he isn't an issue) then you just walk through and get spotted by right bouncer, grab the keycard, and repeat the process. On the second time, you hack his radio as he is about to escort you so you can slip past and then time it out as you would normally.
Literally did no rest for the wicked maskless, spent forever trying to guess the code. Got DC'd on my very last bag. I feel this pain

not sure if it lasts forever, but throwing a motion sensor on a guard (especially lead guard) could help in this
There is a speed run video on this game with less than 5 minute run lol.
The guy sneak pass the VIP bouncer in less than a minute by running after you opened the lock near them, run for a second from the door to the bartable, and circle around it and pickpocket the bouncer no.1, and immediately put in the keycard.
If you have grifter, social engineering and glitch protocol you can walk next to a civ to get rush, walk up to the bouncer and he’ll tell you to you can’t get in at the same time hack left guards radio get behind the bounce w/ blue keycard grab and instantly scan it then you wait for the door to open and boom you’re in
Another option is with the skill to lockpick free when you get cuffed - you can enter the keycard, get cuffed and then when they start walking off, uncuff yourself and go in - only problem is you cant stay unmasked, and otll trigger a search, but if youre looking for speed for XP or something this can work well
Do you know if you can have a teammate rush his card unlock door get arrested to unlock but he leaves n rejoins will he still be in cuffs?
I got the blue keycard by going through with the vip pass route then just dropping the loot painting that's also in the case and making the guards start walking over to it
Just stand behind the card bouncer, hack radio of the other guard, grab card, and open door. Not sure how you're not doing it. It's worked every time I've done it.
If yoy run through the secured room and gi behind the bar, bothe bouncers will check out behind the bard then u can get the keycard and get into the vip area

@GeneralMcBadass why dont you make the guard leaning on the wall spot you, then hack the one that ask for the VIP pass, and then right whe the leaning one start to scort you out, you turn to take that chance to read the card on the electronic lock? not sure if its able, but i think its posible.

You need to get walked out by left gaurd and then when hes walking crouch behind right gaurd take and take the key card and the just run back around and open the door before left gaurd gets back

On overkill u can sprint past the bouncer to trigger them moving afaik.

Confused by something, at the beginning when you're running through the side office it was labeled as a secure room, and in front of the VIP door it was a private area, but I distinctly remember them being labeled as private and public when I did the mission. Does it change w difficulty?
Yes in Overkill the whole club is private and the front door is locked

How are you getting rush? I have the Escapist activated with the 3 seconds in sprint. It only works if I have my mask on though...
A better method would've been to use the staff room to alert their search phase. Just briefly run while in it and then move behind the counter. Both of them would walk to the staff room going "huh?" and search around, giving you time to enter the downstairs. Might have to do it twice cause the door has a long opening animation.
You can distract by running
To the the bar. Run outand snatch blue keycard. Then open the door.
there is a way to do this way easier. The main part where you had difficulties with the bouncers can be skipped. You can forge your invitation by stealinjg it from the manager office. there you get the invitations then you activate them in the room with the civi who sees you 50/50 of the time. then you can just walk past the 2 bouncers with ur invite. You probably already found this but no harm in spreading the info i guess xP. Btw Awesome video !

I can't seem to get the two guards to trigger. Sprinting around them does nothing now. Glitch Protocol (second highest Hacker skill) is the only way now?

Overkill run is the easiest way to do this as with Overkill there's really only one way to go. Mess with speakers and DJ booth, kill upstairs guard, "Preferably wait for lead guard to come up then leave" once lead guard goes back down mess with the music, wait behind the tables for the VIP guard, grab keycard go down and boom (HAVE to sneak behind the bar). Just grab crypto wallet and dip I looted everything in the basement and even for overkill only got 556k, crypto wallet alone is 300k so don't waste time with other loot
I don't even think the challenges are working correctly rn, I tried the Gold&Sharke challenge of stairs only and it never completed. I did it in all difficulties, no mask, and even unlocked the gamepass achievement of doing the same thing just not the challenge, it's frustrating.
Please make a stealth build video. We all need one.

Did an 4 man, 3 hour run on overkill, it was pretty hard but fun, payday 3 is my first from the franchise, but the servers are ruining everyone fun
Not having off online mode like payday 2 is ridiculous
It sucks that he put this much time and effort into finding a good way to do this and all you have to do is sprint out of that Secure Room right next to them and get behind the bar and then circle around, grab the keycard off right guard's belt, put the keycard in and you're in the VIP room within 1 minute.

Great video but im confused , why are there 2 among us characters at 31:13 lol .
For that one npc that you keep saying is 50/50 just walk to her or sprint to her. It will give you rush and if you have the perk where npc (heh) ignores you while you have rush it's smooth sailing. Also if you are getting arrested and you start hacking the guard arresting you it seems to disable every guard for the timing. And not just the guard arresting you, so it's an easy way to bypass the vip guards. (have 1 of them escort/arrest you and hack before they put a cuff on you). Then swipe the code and put it in and go down. You can skip half the video.
EDIT: Since I dont know how to make a video.
Step by step guide is:
1.) Have right guy escort you, steal his blue key and have left dude arrest you.
2.) Hack left dude as he is arresting you.
3.) Insert key and wait for door to open.
4.) Go in. Works everytime easy 5 min overkill runs.
Also unrelated but just run towards the main door and unlock the door and then just run/crouch to the vip door. No need to go from side route lol. The rush buff to lockpick is enough to open the front door without alerting the guard watching you.
i joined someone and they just hacked the left guards radio and took right guards keycard and walked right in.
yeah, play solo stealth offline mode, this is what payday2 taught me the really hard way

Couldn't you have just used the big escort circle to trigger the "you made it past the door" trigger and then used the vent?
is there even any bonus for doing no mask?
also what skills are you using, cause the grifter skills can help with the cams and civs

I can't complete any heist because I'm getting disconnected from the match "matchmaking error"
I played close to 40 matches, and every time I'm completing the heist, I get disconnected (40 matches and no match completed because of this frkn error)

It can't be helped lol, it's just OVK/Starbreeze server being cooked.
i just did a 5:47 NO MASK/NO VIP on overkill. it can be done it was my second attempt tho
