Hello Person.
After Outer Edges we were trying to find a new direction for Noisia. This resulted in an extensive journey that took us through a lot of new ideas and music.
Although we eventually decided to stop, we are proud of the things we made along the way, and these tunes were always meant to be part of a larger whole. So before we finally close the book on Noisia, we wanted to share them with you, on one last album. Previously released or newly finished, they all represent directions we enjoyed exploring.
In the end, we didn’t manage to figure things out. But we did get closer.

Jesus freaking Christ, it wasn't an april fool. So happy and sad at the same time. The end is near, and they are giving us a third album as leaving gift. Noisia forever in our hearts and ears ❤️
Nobody is dead. They gonna come back, like 99.9% of other band.

Music can become a true addiction for some ppl (or passion +++), so, I truly believe they won't be able to quit. It's in their DNA.
I mean, if you look at the last farewell show (cause there were a lot of farewell gigs before that), Thys didn't wanted to quit the stage, like, not at all!
So, if we give them between 5 & max 10 yrs, they'll be back. (unless one of them dies in the meantime, or effe or dislike the "partner" of the other (I mean gf/bf/h or w), cause that can make a group split for real #YokoStyle).

@@Ambar42 as i talked to Thys on the Discord. They wanted to quit but with a big final splash. However the covid striked so they took this covid time to finish some unfinished track/collab. Their 3rd album was already in the making as lot of those recent singles will be on there album.
And even if they quit as a group. Thys is already doing solo stuff same as Nik a.k.a Sleepnet

This will probably make me realize how much of a void Noisia will create by quiting. But it also makes me appreciate all they have done even more. Good lads they are.
Very much looking forward to this album (which is a total gift)!
The noisia void is of course very real, but I am also very excited to see where their solo projects are going. Thys has already gotten us some real gems and I am sure that the end of noisia does not mean the end of their music, just a shift and some diversification.
I take solace in the fact that they’re just splitting, not completely quitting.
I remember when Lifted split up and evol intent, spor and Ewun all went different directions. It stings but you get over it.
they are not quitting that seems to have been a promotional act in my opinion. They are doing a show in my town this summer after they've already finished the "farewell tour" last year...

Anyone whos into production can appreciate the control of reverb in this track. Its so modulated and big but tight at the same time
and sidechain compression too, and all the unique fills... hell of a track
Spot on man, the reverb blew me away on that first drop.. probs flattened to audio and then chopped up for extra control.. but thats just how a weak mortal like myself would do... god knows how these mad men pull it off..
yeah it carries the song, extremely well done. and the switch up between what fills the track constantly. that snare/clap is insane
@@slimyzombie lots of channels and baking into samples and processing man. such a hard thing to do im noticing they are doing delay on the second drop as well extremely hard. goes well beyond the old recording a reverbed sound and reversing it as a sample

I'm tearing up right now after getting the email notification. Closer is a beautiful name for their last album since the word has two different meanings - 'closer' to their goals for the Noisia project, as well as being a final 'closer', with Noisia no longer existing after this.
I will never forget Noisia. Legends forever.

I think what is remarkable about this track that it is 0 tryhard. The production, even if it is obviously god tier, ONLY serves the purpose. There is no ego only music.

Not sure if camo and krooked are on the same level as noisia, they have made plenty cheesy liquid songs in their time. Icicle has got to be up there. He's done stuff with the Noisia lads

Holy shit, I knew Camo & Krooked were good, but is this really what Noisia are capable of? I've only heard "Could This Be" before now, one of my favourite songs I've ever heard, but I've never checked out more of their stuff.
This makes me feel like I could run through a brick wall.
Truly the end of an era. The influence these guys have had in the genre will be a legacy that will last a life time. Thank you boys.

There's no collab with Current Value on the tracklist sadly. I do have good news too tho, I saw CV a few days back and he dropped Noisia - Into Dust (Current Value remix). It's a ridiculous remix. 🔥

Noisia has the mixing balance shifted towards the lower end of the spectrum like noone else I know. This carries on from studio to studio, I clearly understand that they know some secret, behind making their tracks so soft and heavy at the same time. Just can't figure it out. Good job.

I remember I asked Camo & Krooked back in 2020 in their livestream Q&A if they would do a collab with Noisia before they retire, which they confirmed would happen.
Until now I was convinced the collab was never finalised. But after seeing this release today, I have never been more happy to see my wish finally come true. What a glorious moment for electronic music. Insane work as always, guys 👌🏻
noisia played a previous version of this track in their Let It Roll 2019 set (which IMO was way better)
