all i know is gypsy is definitely different this time around. i see a normal family foraging for food, rudy giving gypsy the opportunity to forage and not worry, and krissy still has the mindset to take kody away from gypsy before she gets fustrated, even though we haven't seen gypsy do that with kody. so far most improved mother award goes to gypsy. wow
Well from my standpoint I see that Gypsy would like the time to get mani / pedi and maybe even some lights & permanent wave 👱 Seriously Arroz, I love your work and it lowers my blood pressure, for real! I see contented monkeys that live free, no baths ,silly clothes, diapers none of the crazy $h!t... just happy monkeys and they are wonderful!

Here's what I think.....I would title it as "My 2 moms".
When you first panned over Kodi was screaming bloody murder on Gypsy's back, so I imagine she is weaning Kodi. Then Rudy came and comforted Kodi until he calmed down then once he had calmed she let him do what he needs to do to build the skills he needs. The dynamic that we get to see in their relationships is amazing, more so than we had ever seen before with Gypsy and Rudy. It is almost as if they work as a team mothering Gypsy's little ones. After watching this video I went back and watched many videos with Rudy and Gypsy's babies and one thing you can see is that even when Rudy has the baby Gypsy is always in periphery. When we first started watching Knotty was always alone and crying for his mom. There wasn't really anyone tending to him. I this is when Rudy really started to help in mothering the little ones starting with Knitty. I am pretty sure that in a video many moons ago that they year before knotty was born there was a cold snap and most babies the year before did not survive. I think that maybe something in Gypsy kind of went haywire. Anywho back to today's video lol.....Kodi went back to being a baby and playing and mock foraging with Gypsy. Than along cane Krissy who snatched him up and took flight lol...I think she really just wants a baby and being a youngish female she saw her opportunity to take Kodi, which I don't think Gypsy was fond of the idea. Her demeanor is different when Kodi is with Krissy. So that is what I think this video is, just a long winded version of saying "Rudy and Gypsy mothering and raising Kodi and then Krissy took him to Aunt him." Like I said earlier on it is amazing to see the interaction between Gypsy and Ruby is so awesome to see. It really gives us a chance to apply this new narrative back throughout the years with every baby born to Gypsy every year after Knotty was born! This was kinda cool Arroz, giving us a chance to throw our 2 cents in lol
It has been a very bad pain week and your videos are an escape for me. I cannot thank you enough for this gift you give us! Jen I 100% agree with you 🙂 thats exactly how I saw it also.I also thought Gypsy may have been teaching the foraging so she can wean him very soon.She doesnt seem to care to do a decent amount of nursing. She usually leaves her babies in a lurch...poor things 😪. Im sorry about your pain. Ive been on pain meds for many years due to several health issues and can relate to how frustrating and stressful having pain issues can be. I wish you light and decreased pain dear ...my heart goes out to you ❤
Gypsy wanted Rudy to babysit, so she sat down right next to her to give her the sign. Kody knew this means the Milk Bar is closed and made his feelings known. Rudy took Kody, but she may have been too wrapped up in her grooming so Gypsy went back... but just stood around, not carrying Kody and not feeding him. Krissy saw all of this and took the advantage to grab her brother and take him off to love on him herself. Freeing both Gypsy and Rudy from baby duty.

I see Gypsy being more motherly towards Kodi add just letting Kodi be independent and Rudy didn't want to really babysit her so Chrissy came got her

Gypsy is letting Kody be with someone else so he will grow more independent. She lingers around in case it doesn't "take". It doesn't, she lets Kody come back and he scampers around until Krissy kidnaps him. Gypsy looks up to see who stole him and saw that it was her daughter and she appeared okay with that.
But for me I just enjoy you showing the interactions between members of group and none of the abuse and lies out of Cambodia

Part 1 of my opinion. This is fun to me.
A casual feeder as thrown something recently because some have stuffed pouches. Gypsy and her family got nothing. Gypsy is allowing Rudy to babysit. Rudy is ready for a break and Cody knows. He calls mom back from her unsuccessful hunt for goodies.
I enjoy your narration. You know these monies better than anyone and you explain what is going on. Then I can see what you see and it makes the mknkeys much more interesting. This is why I enjoy your videos.
Opinion part 2 : Mom Gypsy didn’t open the milk bar so Cody wants to impress mom with his climbing skills. Then mum shows Cody some hunting skills. While Mum Gypsy is preoccupied, Krissy snatches Cody. Gypsy is not concerned but starts following to supervise Krissy with Cody but Krissy would rather have Cody to herself. Gypsy is still not upset .
Krissy is taking on more babysitting responsibilities! When rudy wants to babysit she will! Obviously she didn't want to at that time.
My thought is, gypsy is weaning or was off for goodies as all others did have food. Rudy grabbed him with gypsy permission as she did give the signal. rudy grooming knowing kodi is safe to play, he cried gypsy came back, she starts to teach as kodi is folling her and learning, krissy sees mom is not paying attention and snatches him without gypsy permission, thats why she ran off, and gypsy followed, krissy came from the back of both did not ask permission just took him.
Gypsy, Rudy, and Kody all seem very relaxed and comfortable together. Baby is free to go back and forth between members of the group. No tension. Krissy, however, rushes in and grabs baby. . seemingly stuck in the mindset of "how things used to be."
It never surprises me when Gypsy ignores her babies. Rudy is always around to take Gypsy’s baby of the moment when she sees Gypsy is getting tense with the baby. But this time Gypsy was being okay with Kodi. She was getting a little tense but she looked over at Krissy then went back to the green leaves with Kodi next to her and Krissy came and took Kodi and ran to the fence she had been sitting on. Gypsy followed her over like she thought Krissy just wanted to hold Kodi but she got to the fence and Krissy ran off down the fence with Kodi like she was stealing her. Isn’t Krissy Gypsy’s older daughter? And wasn’t she letting Krissy get used to tending Kodi so Rudy could do something else...watch another baby or something. I think Krissy wants Kodi and this time took her!
Looks like Gypsy wanted Rudy to babysit . Rudy did not really seem to interested in watching Kody , she was more interested in socializing with Dotty. So finally Krissy comes to help her mother. I noticed Gypsy kept coming back to keep an eye on Kody. My thoughts of the video

Looks like they take Kodi from Gypsy but she doesn't really object too much either. Gypsy does seem more motherly to Kodi. It doesn't look like she hands him off to them as I had thought she was always doing.
I haven’t looked at anyone else’s yet. But I believe that Gypsy is actually taking care of this one. Surprisingly! But I believe Krissy decided she wanted him. Evidently she seen her chance came in and swooped in and grabbed baby and ran for it. Ruby wasn’t trying to keep him. I loved that Gypsy is acting like mom.

RUclips has had overwhelming complaints due to videographers interference with monkeys. (You know where since your investigative videos were so well done). They also are eliminating captive monkey videos to prevent monetary gain by these poacing criminals.
Unfortunately, now they are back to overwhelming FACEBOOK!

Looks like Kody had a short milk tantrum and Auntie Rudy/Ruby removed him from the area. Kody got control, so Gypsy didn’t mind that he came back to her. Kody followed Mum a bit, learning a bit of scavenging and Krissy, who may be as impaired as Gypsy, up and took Kody away-either for her own reasons or because that is what she thought Gypsy wanted.

Krissy ran off with her brother Cody . Rudy is the real caretaker.
I think Gypsy’s willing to keep him, but the others just take him whenever they feel like it, as if they are higher ranking.
It's a bit hard to tell what actually went on with Gypsy as she is. Was Rudy refusing to sit with Kody? Did Krissy take over when Rudy refuse...or just saw an opening to take Kody for a while? We will most likely never know.

Initially baby was mad milk bar was closed, but got over it quickly and started playing around, interacted with mom which is unusual since Gypsy is a “bolter”, it seems Chrissy felt like aunting and for once Gypsy almost seemed to run after... as if she wanted to b a mom for five minutes or so
@Eagleglobe Anchor but BigFam5 didn’t say he was nursing, Only that he threw a fit because he couldn’t. That fit is the reason Rudy came to him.
@Eagleglobe Anchor problem with your guess is that he was on mums back screaming before Rudy grabbed him. As soon as she did he immediately clings to her and stops screaming.
Then when Rudy sits down she makes no effort to hold him like she would normally do by holding his leg and he goes off on his own uncontested.

Continued from below. Are they allowed to use your videos? Can you report them and have them removed? I love your videos because you do not interfere or interaction with them. You film them in their natural environment. You make it possible for us to get a glimpse into these amazing animals lives.Yours are the only videos I can watch without questioning if their is abuse going on. Several of the videos showed Dopey when he was younger. I hate the idea of Dopey’s sweet little face mixed in with the fear an horror I saw on the faces of several other monkeys. I hope you will get those videos removed and report them for animal abuse. I plan on reporting them as well. Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
i noticed that when kody cried gypy came right over but everything was fine babysitting service was offered but kody turned it down life went on but gypy is there for kody, she is different with this baby however poor kody got kidnapped

It was 4 mins outta their whole day so not enough context. It was nice to just observe tho!!! What was the whole picture? What happened before? After? Was there a feeder there? Who knows exactly? Nobody. All we do know for a FACT is that Rudy and Krissy like to babysit Kody...everything else is just ppls opinions. Thats what's great about interpreting ourselves.

I have no idea what is happening and I've watched for years. As long as Kody gets proper nutrition and is groomed and treated right, I'm happy ;)
Gypsy has always had Rudy as a good babysitter. Gypsy is has always been frequently out and about performing her scouting duties (sometimes I think she leads a double life as a spy and has to be all hush, hush so we all don't know); but when she passes off her secret information she's back to playing mom and paying special attention to teach some foraging skills to young Kody. Rudy figures mom is here, no worries "I have GOT to groom this" so in enters Krissy telling Gypsy "Hey, I've got this. Go on and finish your business"
I like it better with your commentaries although because you know more about these animals than we do who they are their personalities I think it's just better when you tell us what's going on
I think Gypsy lets Rudy get away with taking her kids away because she's higher ranking. there really isn't a thing she can do about it, so she prefers to stay on Rudy's good side.

Cody is experiencing a 'it takes a village', approach. They are all aware of Cody taking steps to a little more independence, and yet, still informing his steps of wandering, by holding him and letting him know he's safe. If there was no trust bonds amongst the lot of them, it would have been more traumatizing for him to mature.
To me, Gypsy acts like an Aunt needing permission to touch, hold and cuddle her own baby. Kody seems not 100% in keeping up with his mother and now content with being left with his real “Aunts”. They are bullies or saving the baby from an old, mentally ill mother?
Gypsy left Kodi with Rudy while she forged for food Rudy got busy grooming the older kid and seen Gypsy was back and Krissy saw an opportunity to baby sit with out permission.

Maybe Gypsy is a "modern" mum. She cares, but with a little distance.
I got the feeling of freedom for Kody. He will be safe, whether he is with Rudy or Krissy or with his mum. He always will be back to her to get nursed and get's the opportunity to be with others. Maybe that's not the thing he wants, but it's this what his mother got used to.🤔

I've noticed that in the past couple of videos, Krissy has been seen taking care of Kody moreso than Gypsy and babysitter Rudy.
I suppose Krissy feels that Kody is being neglected by her mother and Rudy.

This is my second try. Do you know when you drop off your kid at daycare, but feel guilty... so you sneak back to spy on them? 😆 I think Gypsy wanted some ‘me’ tune but perhaps had a change of heart. Kody was trying to not appear ultra-needy, because he’s learned that the constant dangling from the milk bar gets on Mum’s nerves. He prefers to be with Mum but is also fine with Aunt Rudy. He’s trying to read his two Mums body language and Gypsy isn’t sure what she wants. Krissy just saw an opportunity and swooped in... oblivious to the politicking and body language subtext that has been going on...

There is something going on with gypsy and Rudy. It looked like Rudy maybe refusing kody and krissy took without permission
You know, normally the others who "babysit " are more clingy when the situation is being forced . Gypsy doesn't seem to be upset and it seems like there is a air of ease here . Its a normal thing for other females to babysit and Gypsy wasn't being kept apart , she comes back to reassure kody and Gypsy even seems calm almost showing kody to search for food , she doesn't seem stressed at all and a female at krissys age is more than ready to be a mommy and this usually when you see them asserting their willingness to be the babysitter which if you think about it also gives Rudy a break. I mean she has been there for so many little ones , Krissy is a blessing for the older females. Nothing negative here just a little one learning the ropes
I think Gypsy wanted Ruby to watch Kodi but Ruby isn't going to play second fiddle to her daughter. To me gypsy is giving Chrissy more control over the Kodi than Rudy. Or maybe Ruby is still morning Kaylee she loved that little girl. I know something ain't right
I found your videos on Instagram under monkey_ir. The alarming part is that your videos were mixed in with some videos of monkeys being abused. I was excited when i saw your videos but was then horrified by the cruelty I saw. The monkeys being abused were not the same monkeys you film and the location was different. I found myself shaking. I try very hard to avoid sites with animal abuse.

Someone tell me if I'm wrong but sometimes although rudy is just absolutely amazing I feel she gets carried away with looking after gypsys kids and doesn't want to return them. Some clips I see as though gypsy is trying to retrieve her child for nursing but Rudy makes it not as easy as it could be. Gypsy is cold but sometimes it feels she's doing the best she can. After all if she doesn't go foraging she won't be able to make milk. Like arroz said if we were able to wait at the end gypsy will relent and come to nurse her baby

I think Rudy is only interested when they’re newborns or on the small side. I don’t have a problem with her sister Krissy stealing her away. I do have a problem when Rudy does. She’s hanging around Sally and Sylvy a lot lately I noticed. What was your poll question?

Kodi is a boy. But, seriously why do you have a problem with Rudy’s aunting? She can’t have her own babies and has proven to be “one of the best”, if not the best aunts in the troop.
Rudy has been nothing short of an angel for Knotty, Knitty,, Kneely & Kailey. Who knows if any of them would have made it without her and her sister Ruby?

I honestly I'm not sure what I am commenting on. The video showed no different behavior from Gypsy, Krissy, Rudy or Kody. Rudy took Kody from Gypsy back with small objection from Kody but none from his mom. Rudy release Kody who waited for Mom to come back. When she did not right away Kody turn to Rudy. Finally Krissy took Cody again without objection from Mom. Maybe I'm missing it but this is like a everyday video with Gypsy.

To start with Knotty wants the milk bar. Gypsy is being a stinker and poor Knotty is having a fit. He is finally kidnapped and hauled a way. I mean this one came from almost no where and grabbed Knotty and kept running.
Not enough for me to give a good opinion, I can see four different scenerios. One is food of course, and rank.
Rudy is responsible for kaileys disappearance gypsy is a little slow it looks like and krissy tryn to protect her brother and gypsy is really tryn to be a good mom to kody this time I think they keep taking her babies and she just gives up after a while. Krissy does not want rudy having kodi maybe she has seen something happen to Kailey....like every other death they get weak from not feeding and eventually fall out of a tree
No one knows if Rudy had anything you do with Kaileys death and I think your wrong. Kailey was 14 months old when she disappeared so she was hanging with Fify's gang most of time I guess. They're out exploring at that age. Kailey was well fed. She was hanging with the group who gets access to food before almost everybody.

Touchy. If you can't keep to the truth you have to realise you're going to get comments on it. The truth is no one knows what happened to Kailey but you blame Rudy. Is the wrong thing to do. I don't like Rudy using her rang to take babies from Gypsy. If you've read any of my earlier comments you would know that. I was among the first taking this standpoint if not the first but I also know that Rudy's not responsible for this behavior. It is us humans. She desperately wants a baby (it's in their nature) but we've taken her chance away from her by sterilising her. The ones who need to be sterilised are us humans. We spread out all over the world and kill those whom we regards not wanted (other animals than the man) or do other invasive things like sterilise them. I wonder when we're going to realise that all animals on earth can live without humans but we humans can't live without them. Almost every species are important for the human ecosystem; flies, beetles, rats, monkeys, nonhuman apes etcetera. For every species we kill we take a step closer to our own extinction. Sorry for the preaching.
