Maybe put the really clingy ones alone so the more independent babies dont have to fight the clingtrons off just so they can play. Its not right to let the brats weigh down the better ones.

Stupid little rats look fine to me. I wonder how much one costs? I'd love to get one for a week or so then resell it when I was sick of its whining.

0:05 felt sorry for the one trying to climb because the other one wanted them to play mamma and carry them.

I do not blame their mother for not wanting those things. They are one of the most disgusting looking creatures!!

All three were abandoned by their mothers and had to be hand raised by zoo keepers. They have now been integrated into the troop and are doing very well.

And yet in this footage the babies are sucking on their fingers, which is a clear sign of maternal deprivation. A baby forced to soothe itself means the zookeepers are doing a bad job. And if the mothers keep rejecting their babies, it means the zoo has an inadequate enclosure. Maybe focus on that instead of making cutesy videos...unless you don't care because your zookeepers just want an excuse to take the babies and hand raise them.

@@ClownWhisper I disagree I've seen em suck their thumbs and dicks in the wild to self soothe. Or maybe they're just having too much fun with themselves lol

Marie K Right? They don’t have one female that could serve in a maternal role? This is so sad and why so many rejected babies? What is wrong at this zoo?

Don't they need to be on people 24 hours a day at this point if they can't be with their mother. Y'all should use a surrogate.

    • @bexj4205

No they don't. At this age they should be playing more, they're a month old not newborns.

Have you been able to improve the macaques environment, so that so many mothers don't reject their newborns? Very sad. :(

the babies' mothers decided not to raise them, so keepers raised them. They are now full grown animals and doing well in the troop.
