I’m always amazed by nazuna’s va when i hear how high his voice can go. I know it’s probably not possible but i’d really like to hear yonai-san do a solo cover of this song or if someone could find audio of his voice only for it. His high notes are always sung with shu and mika, which sounds really good together, but you can’t fully experience his skill alone which makes me a bit sad because it’s clear he worked really hard to get that high.
Can anyone here the super high register someone is singing in? It's insane. If that's nito then serious props to his va cause that has to be challenging
cmiiw, it's nazuna, he's always in charge of higher register in old!valkyrie's songs.
iirc his va ever talked abt how he worked his ass off to learn singing in higher register and soprano voice so he could show us the perfect image of nazuna in shu's world aesthetic

@@mctimmie8190 when they're all singing tgh, you dont listen to the main loud voices, hear the soft high pitched tone. You gotta strain your ears to listen, but after some time you can hear it better

What I find interesting about this song and Sacred Youth Games is that Mika sings during them, when it was stated he wasnt allowed to sing with Nazuna and Shu during that time period. That means that these were likely the only songs Mika recorded with them during ex-Valk (likely due to Nazuna's insistence), which means these songs are probably held dear to all of them.
Actually this song was sung by Valkyrie after their downfall

The old valkyrie was very toxic from the start thats why they had a downfall in the first place,, im happy things are the way they are now tbh, nito can freely smile now, mika isn’t a worthless member anymore and shu doesnt have to carry valkryie by himself on any longer
@@noya3453 I think it's good for all of them that Nito left Valkyrie. They wouldn't be able to move on due to Shu's attachment to Nito. And Nito is much happier now. I think that Mika and Shu become more carrying for each other. I like that things are like that(sorry for my eng)
Ex Valkyrie is absolutely charming and Nazuna's voice is the most gorgeous thing ever in it but I definitely prefer the current Valkyrie much more as the above commenters have said already. The way Mika can stand as Shu's equal and how Shu has developed to be a much better person and wants Mika to see himself as a human rather than a doll now is beautiful.
I find this a very fascinating discussion because it could be interpreted that the old Valkyrie is in fact the 'better' version, technically, because Nito was essential to Shu's vision of making perfect art. The current Valkyrie 'lacks something' (Nito), and we feel that. However, it was able to become something more - a real idol unit, if we're leaning into the human vs doll, Pinocchio, themes here, where Mika and Shu can perform happily as equals despite finding faults with it as 'art'. Old Valkyrie is an idyllic, but bygone era, the nostalgia perfects it in rose-tinted glass, but it finds its place within a Museum to be admired. While the current Valkyrie lives, breathes and performs for the present, straddling the line between perfection and what finding humanity in their art will create (Acanthe). I'm in love with both Valkyrie's because of the dichotomy Art vs Idol, Happiness vs perfection (Steampunk Museum), Human vs doll thing they've got going on, it cuts deep and enables discussions like this which are also very thematic. It's all the art of Valkyrie and I live for it.
