I think it's a good value camera, with or without full AI. Once the AI is optimised - which needs the latest V3.0.0.250 firmware AND the yet-to-be-released new version of the client software - I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
@@dinarshad4781 I think all the updates are now available - including things like pet detection and detection/filtering of events by size and duration, making it possible now to eliminate rain and insect alerts.
The newest FW version - V3.0.0.250 - does claim to improve the AI. It says: "2. Added Human/Vehicle detection area function 3. Added Human/Vehicle sensitivity function 4. Added the function of customizing detection target size" However, some of these enhancements now require the next version of the client software to be seen!
Excellent review - (superb audio by the way!) - informative and helpful. thanks.

Looks like a great camera! Thank u for the video.
Great video!
Do you recommend the RLC-510A extra features (smart person + vehicle alerts) plus timelapse or is it more of a gimmick?

@@kayberry6292 oh so theres unreleased updates still due before you can fully utilise what they are offering? Then a client upgrade due. Screw that?!

The Android app has a slight quirk where the playback features do not show up on chromebooks. It's likely an easy developer display switch.
I think there's a fix for that if you ask over on the Reolink Camera Community group on Facebook.
Has Reolink published the new firmware since you were informed?

Yes - and more, eg pet detection and object size filters. Check out the Reolink Camera Community group on Facebook.
