@imaadh there's not another more forgiving iron than the KE4 max. Other than that, if those are a little too chunky for you, you cant beat the TS3s. The next most forgiving club they have, yet they are forged, and have a much smaller profile. Honestly the best all around iron they have. I have the TE+ V4s (Black) because I like a lower profile, players iron, almost bladelike in appearance, and they're still more forgiving than any Callaway or Taylormade players distance iron. I'm telling ya, these are not only cheap, but they pack way more than they look. Most forgiving irons on the Planet IMO.
@@shmirginhymer1867 appreciate the insight! Gabe mentioned in his 2024 iron video that the TS3s he'd recommend more for -10 to scratch, and the W/S dynapower for folks in the -10 to -20 range. Think that's the case? Deliberating between the two. Obviously the Maltby set being literally half the price is fairly compelling as well
@imaadh I'd say that's a fair assessment but if you're looking for something to grow into, the TS3s are perfect. The KE4 Max is if you're looking for ultimate forgiveness.
I swapped to the S23 wedges last season and fell in love once I got acquainted with them. Great feel, control, and some built in forgiveness without looking bloated.
I've just updated my wedges with Indi Golf wedges. Full face grooves, and at a bargain price of $99 each. Great feel off the face. You should test them.
I only change my wedges when i get new irons my steath irons had 450ish rounds of golf on them as did the wedges I am 60 and a 8 handicap I try to golf 150 - 175 rounds a season from march15th to October 15th great video Gabe cheers from Canada
I love Mizuno's S-23 wedges and have both the 54 and 58. I like having the CG more in the center of the club face than the heel and they're a natural extension of my JPX21 irons.
Pitch & gap staying in the bag much longer up to 5 years. Sand & lob between 2-3 years because they lost the grips faster under harsher lie especially sand traps.
I love my Mizuno T23 cavity backed Wedges. So much more control than I've ever experienced with wedges. I'm hoping to keep mine in my bag for another couple of seasons. But with any forged club/wedge. They will wear quicker. I've had mine for a season. Besides sand scratches which can be normal with any wedge. These are holding up great. Thanks for these reviews. Keep up the great work.
I used to replace wedges when they had noticeable wear but I also had a Vokey wedge that got more spin as it wore so I played that one well beyond its intended useful life… have played Vokey, Cleveland, Nike (RIP), and TaylorMade wedges and have found myself always coming back to Vokey…
No, Vokey isn’t scared. They have such a huge following that most won’t consider another brand. Good to have solid options though! Cleveland wedges are what work best for me!
I wish all wedges would have the option of full-face grooves. I am in the market to replace my 54* & 60* wedges this year. Coincidently, the US assembly plant is just 3 miles from my home, and my home course pro is a Mizuno rep. I change my wedges every 150 - 200 rounds.
I just ordered a T1 46 and 50. Just gotta wait until they come in. I play the Mizuno MP20 HMB and have always gone to a vokey 46 and 50 but for full shots I would rather have a forged wedge. Still have a vokey 56 and 60 since I don’t hit those wedges with a full swing
I have the 923 forged irons through the gap wedge. Do you think that the T1 or the T3 56 degree sand wedge M grind as far as looks and gapping wise would be the best? What do you think? I’m about a 10 hcp. Thanks!
Their wedges have not been their best offerings which has always been baffling given the top quality of their irons over the years. I love the grind on these. These look they could be the perfect compliment to a new JPX925 set
Sorry, I have tried many wedges, Vokey are simply on a level all of their own. I tried everything including Edison, not even close. I use Mizuno irons, which I was always a Titleist guy but Mizuno are simply that much better.
I play my wedges for two seasons. And I play about 70 rounds a year. I do like the trend of leaving the big brand names and using some quality offbrand gear. Are you still using your Indy wedges?
Don’t know how a forged metal will have coating that will last longer than a non forged metal. I’m hopeful mizuno did not say that cause that’s a wildly statement
If you prefer forged irons over cast, then it makes sense that your wedges should be forged. It never made sense to see people buy cast wedges and also talk about the feel they get from a shot off a forged 6 iron. I haven't heard a good explanation from anyone on why a 200 yd club is forged, but there's no real reason a 60 degree should be. It just seems like manufacturers are making excuses when they charge the same price as Mizuno.
We're supposed to replace them? Ok, so I know that just don't do it near as often as I probably should, course I don't play as often as I should either.
I just prefer not hitting cast heads. Feels like crap. And at this point in my game, I'm looking for better feel. They need to up their game and start forging their wedges.
Nice, but the price point is harsh, I'll just keep my Kirkland Wedges.
Maltby man. I've sold my Callaway irons & Vokey wedges and am never going back.
@@shmirginhymer1867 which Maltby line is best for mid-high handicappers? That will be sufficient as someone *hopefully* improves at the game?

The S23s were fantastic wedges.

Gabe..Try the MIzuno S-23 copper wedges...see what you think there....

Takomo is coming out with full face wedges. I’m going to need new wedges this spring.
Are you talking about the sky force wedges that are out now? Or newer ones?
@ I thought I saw newer ones not released yet. Full face. One of the British guys did a review.
No, Vokey isn’t scared. They have such a huge following that most won’t consider another brand. Good to have solid options though! Cleveland wedges are what work best for me!
Being able to hit the flat skipper is my need . I tried the mizuno a few years ago and they just popped straight up
I play off 3, and change my wedges every six months. Can't see past the Vokey's these days, but the hi-toe range was pretty impressive as well.
$150 to $180 per wedge and change them every year? I love playing, but I will just need to lose spin.

If the price is too high. Wait a year. They drop quiet a bit
I play the SM8s. Haven't gotten in enough rounds the last 2 seasons to need to replace them. Maybe after this season.

High handicap and still playing the same wedges from 3 years ago. I get the most from my clubs because I use the whole club face haha 😂
I do have a Mizuno T 22 56 wedge and a JPX 45°, just a good as anything but they don’t have all the Vokey fitting options. That’s where Vokey wins.
I like the cb looks of the T3, makes me the odd man out here, lol!
T24s are great. Got them on sale, too.
I play my wedges for two seasons. And I play about 70 rounds a year. I do like the trend of leaving the big brand names and using some quality offbrand gear. Are you still using your Indy wedges?
Speciality wedges (don't come with iron set) I normally change 3-4 years. I'm currently a 9-10 handicap.
Love my T24 wedges
Don’t know how a forged metal will have coating that will last longer than a non forged metal.

Wonder how the T-1 compares to the T24

Just in time for the American Renaissance!!!
300 to 400 dollars for a set of wedges vokeys will never be in my bag
Maybe it is the picture.... but I see no milling..... look at Lazrus Wedges v style... The Milling is Fantastic at a much better price....
I still love the Pxg sugar daddy wedges
Selling my sm8s to put takomo in the bag this year
We're supposed to replace them? Ok, so I know that just don't do it near as often as I probably should, course I don't play as often as I should either.
No wedges will ever be better than Vokeys, just lots of hype. If you prefer something less expensive that’s fine.
I just prefer not hitting cast heads. Feels like crap. And at this point in my game, I'm looking for better feel. They need to up their game and start forging their wedges.
I"m a +12; change my wedges every week; 6 rounds a week.
