  • British soldiers are taking part in the force's largest field exercise in 2022 - also the biggest in Europe for a decade.
Exercise Cerberus sees nearly 3,500 troops deployed to Germany, aimed at confirming the five British Army brigade headquarters that sit within the division are ready for operations.
It is a large command post exercise designed to assess the ability of the brigade headquarters in 3rd UK Division - the United Kingdom's fighting division - and ensure readiness.

It's genuinely pathetic. Not only the numbers, but it's essentially staged theatre. Each soldier and each vehicle knows where they need to be at any one time. Nothing is spontaneous or by surprise. In other words, it's as far from actual warfare as you could possibly get. It's all about hitting bureaucratic targets, and we'll pay for it one day.

It's still far too prepared, as all NATO exercises have been for decades now. The military is given too much planning time, and everything is too staged.
What should happen is the combined ministers of defence suddenly spring it on all their militaries that they need to mobilise in a certain location as soon as possible. Only that element of surprise will truly test not only the readiness of individual forces, but whether they can actually coordinate together.

Recruiting number indicate not that many young men in the UK, USA, and Canada feel that their country is prepared to defend the interests of them and their culture against discrimination and persecution. They seem to feel the cultures and people our armed forces will be called upon to defend are *perhaps* as foreign as Russian culture and the Russian people. What bigot will claim it is worse to be taken over by Russia's Eurasian cultures than by any other culture? Are not all peoples and cultures equal?
I can't explain our world today. It all seems so contradictory. All sides seem so hypocritical, although some more than others.
