This song gives me a sad nostalgia vibe, almost melancholic. This makes me think about me when this album was released. Persons that were alive back then, the beach and how I was a lot happier kid.
Personally, I don't think it's about beauty or quality. It's music. It's not supposed to be that complicated - Music makes you feel. The creator of the song decides what they want to make you feel, and they make a sound that will do it. There's no quality and there's no beauty unless the creator wants them to, and if they don't, then it doesn't matter. All that does matter is that they make you smile and jam out, or cry and eat ice-cream. Both of which I have done while listening to the Gorillaz's music UM

This song is a secret beauty. I didn't really like Plastic Beach, after hearing the amazing original Gorillaz (2001) and then Demon Days, going into this we were hype... but the hype died quick. This song is excellent though, I only found it a few days ago and loved the beat. So happy for the instrumental as well :)
