Finally!!! Hope you will do Luminous for the next 250 and give yourself a break after Marksman. It has superb mobbing and it's definitely going to be way easier than DB.
I know this is one of your older 250 videos, but I recently picked my old main MM back up because of Destiny. It definitely feels less reliant on Split Shot. Of note, Piercing Shot feels like it gained a lot of weight and is fat enough to hit two platforms at once now, provided they're close enough together, Blink Bolt helps with the lack of mobility, and I do feel like the class can actually function during those 50 seconds or so that you can't spew giant cones of death. But given I don't have nearly the same breadth of experience across classes as you, I figured I'd revisit this video to ask: how do *you* feel about the class post-Destiny? Even if you haven't given it a real test-run yet, just your gut feeling would be interesting to hear.
Definitely feels a lot better post Destiny than it did pre. Chat voted for one of my burning world coin capping characters to be a Marksman so I've been playing quite a bit of it, at least pre-5th job. It feels a lot better, still not totally reliable off split shot, but it's getting better. 60% uptime on splitshot, as well as the fracturing bolts from Piercing shot help quite a bit. The new piercing shot hitbox alone does wonders for map options, it used to be such a narrow piece of crap, now it actually has some width to it. So overall, it's better. A pretty necessary improvement to MMs qol.
DB has good mobbing IF u don’t have frenzy as his AOE skills have short cool downs and is just nice with normal spawns. However, if frenzy is up half the time waiting is just using blade fury or blade ascension which have pretty small area for a mobbing skill.
Cool video, thing is Marksman is more like a tank honestly, sometimes i wonder if Nexon would do some kind of change to the mechanics. The class reliance in Split Shot is because before 5job he's not that good compared to any new class or recently changed classes(Aran, Evan they keep their playstyle since the start), so he have a overpowered skill to compensate no good mobbing and bossing in 5job, Hero feels very similar how he gets a lot better with his 5job later on. To be honest i think Marksman was always way too powerful, specially since the RED patch, but since not many play him they just let it be instead of nerfing it(that way a lot of classes got stronger with buffs in the years that passed), i think Nexon is too afraid to change his gameplay because that you need require to make the class weaker. Also did you use the Fury of the Wild when Split was down? It makes a lot more berable when you do that, some maps get better exp outside of frenzy totem territory. Btw, you could hit more monsters using piercing arrow with split shot(like in CLP), since piercing arrow kill the mobs before Split hits em(unless you are lagging).
Yeah, I was using Fury of the wild exclusively while split was down, didn't alleviate all the clunk. Using pierce instead of snipe for split shot procs in clp, was fine, if I kept using the down-jumping rotation, but for standing still and wanting to clear as much as possible, snipe was the better option. (Actually spent a lot of time testing which was better, and snipe was consistently better, by a very small margin.)
@@Sacrix Snipe is good to get angles too, but i usually use piercing to get more monsters, specially in big maps since i don't have Frenzy totem all the time(unless i get service).
If i just jump it's usually enough to hit any platform above the ground you wouldn't normaly hit, like in Radiant Temple 3 where i used to train, or maybe just Arcana/Chuchu maps.
wdym MM is way too powerful LUL, it is not. MM lategame/endgame is dogshit imo, not good at mobbing, not at bossing either. Other classes with similar fundings got way more Ts in a 40s BA. Nexon is stupid.
@@btkt6464 Well yea cause the damage cap, you will never hear from the pros Marksmans with 60k dex or so(i know two, but they hardly speak of their damage since it's so easy for them to cap), making the class trash since any pro will cap in bosses when using Vicious shot, of course to you the game is just endgame 40second battle analyses or Hard Lucid phase 3 so it's not worth.
I admire you! Thank you very much for your effort! Also I want to ask that I’m training my Mercedes to 210 for lv3 link skill I use Spike/Wrath/Unicorn (with Lightning Edge in between) to move around the map fast and also doing damage I only have 700-800k range, just enough to do 1.5shots on mobs I train on a same map you use from 200-210 Do you have any advice for me to train faster? Though the combo I’ve been using make me feel quite good but I hurt my wrist cuz there’re lots of buttons to work with. Thank you in advance!
Hidden Illiard field is a BOP for MM. I would recommend it from 215-225 honestly. Reverse city, isn't as insane for MM, but T-Boys Research train is pretty nice, since its 2 long flat platforms, which is what MM needs off split.
You need 2 trio's anyways, so it's up to preference if you want to go for perfect trios. I generally dont bother looking for Trios, if RNGesus blesses me, I'll use em, otherwise I just cover all important skills, spread out over my trios.
I would recommend 8k legion before another 250, since it will give you a TON more damage than just one 250. However, assuming you already have 8k legion. The strongest 3 legion board pieces are Shade, Hayato, and Jett (%Crit damage). They are by far, the strongest single pieces. Followed by Kanna and DA (%Boss), and Mech (%Buff duration). Then of course, focus on all the characters that give your main stat.
These are definitely some of the highest quality Maple vids on RUclips. You’re a beast at grinding. Do you have advice for a totally new player no link skills nothing (Reboot), first character for going from 150-200? The quickest way?
That early into your journey, dont worry too much about getting to 200 fast. Take time to explore the early stages of the game, and coast into the 200s. You'll likely need to start working on some link skills before you worry much about post 200 stuff, so get a decent start on those (merc/aran/evan/DA/kanna) being amazing early links to pick up. For training wise, there really aren't any 'secret' op maps to get from 150-200. Colo > Kerning Tower > Alien Base > Twilight Perion is pretty much the go to training areas. It's gonna take time, especially for your first character. In the coming Rise patch however, exp required to get from 170-200 is getting reduced, so you can look forward to getting to 200 on more characters with a little bit more ease!
Hi, I know this might not be your usual video, but since you have a marksman, do you mind to do a bossing comparison between shadower and night walker at 100% crit rate (with buffs)?
NW is stronger if you have 100% Jump-throwing through sticky keys. They dump damage, but thats about it. Shadower is very ping dependent with meso-explosion weaving, and they cap out pretty quickly (Hard boss partys will be hard to find) but they have a ton of skill expression with trickblade, assaulter, and smokescreen.
@@sevenfitness790 Capping out quickly, means they hit the damage cap, and in effect, their total DPS Cap, before most classes. Marksman and Shadower both have very, very high base damage on their abilities. Now thats amazing for the most part, it helps get over early hurdles much easier, but in the long run, it comes back to bite them, in that, they cannot compete with other classes in the end game. Best single target DPS is hard to say, since the meta for MapleStory bossing at this point is all Bind Burst (Bind boss, dump all your damage) NL is the top single target burster. Of the classes you mentioned, they would rank NW > Shad > MM in a Bind Burst situation. NW is pretty much budget NL for bursting, but has much more consistant dps when bind is down. Shadower is gated by his Trickblade and Sonic Blow CDs, but has pretty high avg dps inbetween. And Marksman, if more focused on sustained Damage, which just doesnt really fit the Bind Burst meta.
@@Sacrix Thanks for the detailed answer. Do you mind to clarify on the bite back in late game portion? I don't really quite understand in terms of the high average base damage and at later stage, it becomes less of significance. I mean mathematically speaking, a 200% dmg will always be higher output than 150% dmg no matter if the classes have the same range and lines. Unless you're saying they don't have skills that amplify their skill dmg or hit count as compared to other classes, that would be understandable. Or you're saying there's no chaining between skills like blaster, resulting in less actions per sec = less lines per sec = less dps per sec?
Having not played Bowmaster past 200. I can't be fully sure. From my understanding, the best exp rates come from Arrow Platter farming, which takes a heafty amount of funding. However, from other videos, their mobbing seems pretty solid even without platter. Honestly, check out some videos of bowmasters mobbing, and see if it's something your into. If so, yeah probably best to job change. MM is kinda oof. At least for me.
Probably a ways out, gonna take a break from Archers for a bit, just completed 3 in a row, don't want to run that well dry just yet. As for WA training, from what my buddy tells me, who's a very good WA player. It's a lot of Sentient Arrow, which has really good small map coverage, with FZ spawn. If you're grinding without buffed spawn, the 2nd job skill, Fairy Spiral is your way to go, its got a amazingly fast animation, and a VERY Strong boost node, so you can flash jump through maps and swipe that thing without much interference. I'm sure you'll do great, even if I don't get to WA before you do. :>

Generally use snipe because if you use piercing shot, you'll be killing all the targets behind the first, meaning you wont be able to stand still and clear a lot more of the map. Also, Snipe tracks to its target, where split-shot only goes in a straight line, making it much more user friendly.
YAY 30 more to go!!!!!! btw why wont you lvl hoyoung next? from what i know db and lumi have pretty good mobbing after 5th job so db wont be much of a pain
There is a buff coming to Hoyoung in the future, that lowers some its skill animation times, making it more fluid to play. So I'm gonna wait for that to drop before playing it, to get the full glory of the Hoyoung experience. I hope you're right about DB, from what I've experienced, its pretty much Tornado and the big blade burst, that have really good mobbing range, and the main 4th job skill, its pretty doo doo. Here's hoping it wont be too rought when i get to it though.
