      That’s great Jim, if you are starting out then I think this is one of the best scales to use! Cool I will probably do a few videos in the next few weeks on how I play / and techniques etc so hopefully that helps! 😎

    inspiring mate! Very talented player. I was drawn to buying the F. But this G sounds very versitle. Dark and light.

      You can do a lot with the G, I haven’t heard much of the F tbh

    Happy New Year! Very nice, got lost in this piece. I've had mine for 2 weeks, and can't keep my hands off it. I'm still working through getting the best sound in my recordings, but I'll get there. Thanks for sharing, take care!

      Hi I may give this a go but cannot at this time as I moved on to a different tuning. I don’t have the G Pygmy now.

    nice...hmmm..have you heard of the Achelois Hum Drum...its a steel tongue drum with dedicated harmonics. Robert i think you would make magic with that too.

      Thank you! It’s a small AKG condenser and a ribbon room mic called voodoo SE electronics I think from memory

    What kind of microphones are you using, are they specifically for drums? Thank You, nice playing!

    • @RobertStubbs
      @RobertStubbs  3 года назад

      No just a small diaphragm condenser mic and a ribbon room mic which is more for guitar / piano but they work well for the rav too.Thanks

    Robert did your thumb get sore when you first started playing It seems to get a nice tone I have to strike pretty hard maybe I’m just doing something wrong

    • @RobertStubbs
      @RobertStubbs  3 года назад

      Hi Jim, never has any thumb issues that I know of! Not heard of that before I guess you could change your position really slightly to take the contact away from the thumbs
