Just bought a TS50 myself I'm not sure what year it is but it hasn't been wide banded I've had a look and I didn't realise there was as many mods for the TS50, aslong as I can get it to work on 555 that'll do me champion 👍👍
Have a model with all five diodes. I disconnected D3, 4 and 5. I can send over the bands but the output changed to max 25 what and anoter 12.5 and 2.5 whatts. do I have to reconnect D5 to get bacl the 10, 50 and 100 whats?
aaah.. love that accent :) hope to meet you on the bands soon. aim for north east .. i know not many walisians do this.. but there is this tiny nation of finland and at least 2 or three from our 5000 total amateur radio people know some english haha good job on the mars mod, and congrats on finding a mint condition rig. You may have lights go dark, and a contact may shake lose if you have it like me in a 4x4 and rough terrain... but thats just wear and tear. The final is so well protected from abuse, you can give it to your granddaughter with no antenna attached and pick it up in a week - and the final will still be ok 🙂 73, OH8XAT
Thanks timo , hopefully catch you around the bands and maybe from the mobile on the ts50, should of kept my previous ts50 but glad I got another good one , ruclips.net/video/hWWzZCEqUdA/видео.html
I used to think that modifying a amateur radio to get on 11m was cool, but just don't see a good justification anymore with doing this. Probably would be better just to get a CB radio that's FCC authorized to transmit on 11m frequency than to hack a ham radio and make it illegal to operate on either the amateur bands nor the 11m band.
Thanks for sharing Darren what a great radio and a talker also. always had a love of Kenwood. Cheers and great contact friend.
Cheers Drew , great radios

@@aceventuraaceventura2003 on alot of the old ham radios you have to mod them toget full coverage on some bands 👍
