- Big round of applause for the only vintage toilet in my collection to struggle on a WASHCLOTH. I hate these toilets and I would put a bowling ball through it if I wasn't bringing it to BTR. Every other toilet that does this poorly gets punished so why should this one be any different?

i love these, no matter how bad they perform i love the satisfaction in the flush and the sound as well as the design.
I think they look cool but I am repulsed by everything else.
There is something really luxurious feeling about the silent flush and the one piece low profile finish. Especially in a different colour. They were sold as expensive high end models back in the day for a reason.
Well it looks like this toilet survived to get punished It’s good old vintage 1980’s toilet surprised that it passed theses tests!

Because of its design, the trapway isn't big. And without a siphon jet in front of the trapway opening, make these poor performers. Even though, I like the design and flush and it struggled on all the test, but at last passed.
I've gotten a couple toilets like this but I want to find one that actually works.
Mani love this toilet but sadly gave up the last year..

Despite of the fact of how it poorly performed, it would still do good in standard use anyway but these salvagers should know that despite of uniqueness of these Kohler lowboy toilets, they aren't really "salvage" worthy at all... But remember I would not try to smash it, i will try to sell it at ebay or some sort cause some sucker will pay like 1k for this toilet.
But even if it does clog, it would not overflow... it will fill the tank with water
I'm goving it to BTR. I think it would do very poorly in my house on normal use though.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations that's actually a good idea than just dissecting it you know.. Even for me, it's not "install worthy" to me at all especially when it comes to maintenance of these toilets, you would need a specific fill valve for it, a specific toilet seat for it... Way too pricey to maintain it..
@@ToiletsofWNY It was replaced because they couldn't find the tank parts. I dissect toilets so people can see the insides and I think that's interesting.
It's shaped like a big box, but it's kinda cool. 😉

I was surprised
As vintage Kohler clogged the Rochelle (see video on RUclips on his channel), this toilet did that. It failed.

I have 3 of those,2 white and one pink.Tgete are some ways to replace and repair the fill and flush valve I may make a video soon on some way to repair or adapt a different style valve

These one piecers seem to struggle an awful lot on very basic things. The Pompton probably has the strongest flush out of this and a Kohler Rialto. Do they have siphon jets in the trapway or glazed traps?
I think all they have is that big jet on the side.

I actually got an Eljer Elmblem the same day as this so I tried the seat and it did not fit.

I think this toilet is more like a piece of decoration than a usable toilet knowing it struggled on a washcloth

Did bad for a vintage but better than some modern toilets
I don't know that I've seen any modern toilet do worse than this. The Porcelamex and all the 90s front flushers definitely did worse but idk if I'd call those modern because most of them are in their 20s.

Toilets are very entertaining if you think about it!
Even exhaust fans and some radio towers , car washes , I got entertained on exhaust fans last year I do like exhaust fans too
