- Опубликовано: 9 июл 2020
- You saw history made with the first crewed launch and docking of the SpaceX Crew Dragon, but you didn’t see the flurry of activity on board the International Space Station…until now. Join Expedition 63 Commander Chris Cassidy and his crewmates as they prepare their cameras to document the DM-2 launch, and look over their shoulders to witness the new American spacecraft dock to the station and deliver their new crewmates.
Footage: NASA & AmericaSpace

This is the best piece of space vlogging I've seen! A pity they don't do more - I know they're busy, but hey, this footage beats the official broadcast for breakfast any day. I guess because it presents the guys, particularly Chris, as humans being real, not just parroting checklists, doing radio coms and stuff. Thanks for posting!
perfectly said!
are there any more vlog style videos like this?
@@Chuckq1 check out the Canadian space agency channel they have tons of stuff on Chris hadfield
@@Kioley123 that was from a while ago now
It's really heartwarming to see Americans and Russians working together and getting along up there... I wish there was more of that down here on the ground.
Who says we’re enemies?
Its a team work. You can watch their launch from April. ( Chris, Anatoly and Ivan) Expediton 63 🚀 from Kazakhstan.
@@lakersin5260 turn on the tv
@@lakersin5260 Actually, you know what you're right. We can't just keep up with outdated prejudice. Lets ignite a new era of peace.
@-- ik, just tried to explain it to @No one cares
Media fucks us all up.
I get a bit emotional watching this type of thing. So moving.
And a weirdo
me too
I cried!!!!
Same lol
Emotional ?
Like a woman ?
Vlogging during work.... in space.
What a time to be alive.
Who else thinks we need some space vlogs
This is awesome. “Get some Doug and Bob!”
Yeaaaaahhhh!!!! Love Chris’s energy!
Actually it was "Godspeed Bob and Doug".
@@williamstephens9945 4:40?
I loved the "YEAH!"
Rip headphone users.
Such typical names lol
6:01-6:04
He blinks in synch with the countdown😂😂
I mean can you imagine living up there and getting visitors!!! OMG so cool!!
So cool. Especially the video feed of the launch at 6:00. That was more reliable than my own internet
It was impressive to see how precisely Chris was moving about the cabin and how much faster it is in air than when they were doing water simulations. He was also impressive in keeping ahead of the tasks and commanding resources.
11:30 that Camera Sensor is done xD
MrGuliton all the dead pixels look like little galaxies
A bell. They have a bell on the ISS? The naval traditions are strong.
Yes..they did that with the shuttles
For a second I accidentally misread your comment and I thought it said “a bell? They have a Taco Bell on the ISS!?”
XD
9:40 damn papparazi
Canadarm
Lmao
The “get some bob and Doug” reminded me that Chris was a Navy SEAL for 11 years
Was cool to see his excitement.
This was awesome he was vlogging! This was what I wanted Bob and Doug to do but Chris doing it was even better!
Loved it how (think it was Doug) said "Let's light this candle". I always thought if I ever went to space, I'd say the same thing.
That was a famous thing said by Alan Shepard.
I'm so jealous. You have the coolest job in the known universe.
I was actually gonna start arguing with this but yeah this is undoubtably the coolest job. It would be very difficult and uncomfortable, I wouldn't be able to cope, but yeah, certainly it is cool.
And dangerous too
@@TommyLikeTom yeah, i was concerned about like, not showing stuff without permission but apparently he can show a lot of stuff
Ivan: “oh dinosaurs”
LMAO
Such epic footage. Thank you!
March_Of_The_Titans Book you’re welcome
Watching this liftoff over and over is so exhilarating - every time! It's so moving and I'm sure that you guys on board the ISS must feel the same... I admire the brotherhood of all the members on board!
To think of all the animosity going on between the nations here on earth - up there you're one body - one heartbeat! God bless you all!
Why do we not get more real, candid videos like this.
Thanks for the collection of videos. Really wanted to see the reaction from the space station side. Love Chris' enthusiasm, and that of the Cosmonauts too.
This is by far the coolest video that nasa has put out. We need more of those making it more really for this of us down here. Thank you Chris. Thank you thank you thank you.
Glad to see the space still follows Naval tradition, and Bob & Doug were "rung aboard" upon their arrival.
Was wondering why chris was setting up all those cameras that weren't being used for the broadcast, guess we know why now
I was on a beach in scotland with a bbq out watching the sky and the stream. What a night to remember, i know exactly what i was doing when you were watching this so cool
This has to be one of the coolest videos I've seen on RUclips.
If you laugh you sub!
Why?
@If you laugh you sub! You seem like the guy to forge your is test results
When I watched this live, when the dude said "America has launched" it sent chills down my spine :D
Even though I knew the (positive) outcome, was slightly nervous when seeing the iPad running the docking steps at 30% battery lol
you are a hawk to spot that lol
I could watch this launch 1000 times and still feel like the excitement I did while watching it live and watching y'all also get excited was wonderful.
- "I dont even feel it dock".
Some stablished aerospace company that is payed to do the same as specex is feeling the pressure...
Boeing can probably do it though. They are not immune to entropy, so, even something that had every chance to not fail could still fail but in theory, they have more know how than SpaceX.
@@jojolafrite90 Tbh the race is over. Boeing will not be able to do what SpaceX can at the cost. Their program will be sidelined for fringe projects with extremely specific needs
with those issues Boeing has , I'd be surprised if NASA cleared them for manned flight anytime soon. We'll be flying proper sci-fi space craft by the time Boeing finish their first capsule. And that's if NASA won't ditch Boeing completely for Virgin or Blue origin or even Rocket Labs :D
@@terrabiker They definitely will fly Boeing still. Just look at the waste of money SLS is. If the US killed the space contract w/Boeing, they'd lay off thousands and blame it on the administration
@@jojolafrite90 In theory. Boeing’s Orbital Flight Test-2 has been pushed back all the way to August or September. The Crew Flight Test and Starliner-1 now are set for late this year or spring 2022. SpaceX’s Crew-3 will have launched and docked with ISS by then.
This makes me proud to be an American!🇺🇸 Good job Bob and Doug
man i wish we had space "vlogs" like this, i know they are super busy out there.... but this felt way more real than any stuff Nasa usually show.
I love the pops and crackles that come from the rocket. Idk its something about it.
So glad I found this video, absolutely love this "behind the scenes" look from the ISS!
Chris is usually so stoic. Its great to see him really excited!
And unfortunately there are idiots craving in their caves thinking this is fake
😒quite pathetic really.
@zimThuet The ostrich strategy, so original.
to be honest, this is one of quite a few things now that is happening with the industry that kills all arguments they had. This one specifically for the whole zero g floating around nutters saying wires etc etc
It is fake, you are just too stupid to know that though.
@@mrhawkyoudown6333 Ought not to be that difficult for you to provide some valid, independently-verifiable, factual, scientifically-accurate, documented, mathematically-correct, legitimate evidence to back up your mouth.
I'll wait.
I'm so proud to have been blessed to be alive to witness this historical moment 🤯🤯🤯👍👏👏👏👏💜
Wow. The feeling will be great. I believe I will go to space someday. Hopefully we all will make it✊✊
Just jump to space
"What's up big dogs?!"
Sweet! Never get tired of watching this.
Awesome BTS footage, especially of Cassidy watching the launch!
I had no idea they rang the bells for the ship arriving. Navy tradition. I assume they do they same for the ship departing?
Been doing the bell since the shuttles
When they start doing bridge bowson whistles, were on the right track.
This is out of this world! Just really proud of what fellow humans are doing in relation to space exploration. Mars lately seems to be the destination of choice. What a time to be living.
That montage was the best, keep up the great work! Astonishing video as always! Also I just love Chris's energy and enthusiasm.
The first reaction video in Space technically
Amazing audio quality compared to what we hear on the two-way radio, I'm amazed by how quiet the ISS sounds especially in the docking area. Love this video clip, please do more ;-)
The flat earthers are the dislikes, probably think this is some Hollywood green scene CGI stuff.
If you laugh you sub!
Why is that? NASA being fake I mean?
If you laugh you sub! You know that NASA isn’t the only existing space agency right ?
Yeah, they know nothing about anything... Sad times, really. The ONLY WAY to fake all that is to it for real... Makes me really sad, that at this point, these people don't live in the same reality as us. At all. And they should be institutionalized.
Or Starliner fanboys.
Lol lots of r/woooosh on the comments
It’s cool how far technology has advanced that we can get updates like this from Space!
All the destroyed pixels in the camera.
he probably pointed that at reflections of the sun lots of times
I was going to post a similar content...those cosmic gamma rays are no joke!
What does this. All the ISS videos I watch, they all have some pixels messed up.
@@PaleWhiteMale radiation particles. since they're in space, they don't have the protection we do down on earth. Scary thought to think those same particles are tearing things up inside the bodies of the astronauts.

6:00 That sync of the liftoff time with the watch ^^
Phenomenal in a time when it’s hard to be a proud human this hit the spot

Awesome behind the scene
5:12 Marie Kondo needs to do some cable management for them.

This is awesome! Thanks for posting it!
Doug hit his head pretty good coming through that hatch.
Amazing footage. So awesome to see!
5:34 This was from military times. haha
excellent program for revealing the crews activities.
One of the best videos I've ever watched! Those goosebumps were real
What an amazing video
Thank you so much for putting this video together. Fantastic effort by all people involved
Thanks Commander, it was great re-living that very exciting day. What a sweet launch that was.
Cassidy is a natural when it comes to vlogging 👍👍
This is so cool. Imagine looking out your window and seeing earth.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing this with us. Love your work guys.
Great video ! Thanks for this.
Thank you very much for sharing this with us. A true Honor.
I just watched Doug and Bob flying over earlier tonight and last night as well.... Man I'm so proud of everyone involved in getting us back to the station from us soil. Good speed Space X & NASA!! Proud proud moment
Excellent video. I found the bell ringing most emotional. I was very very surprised that to see that age long tradition being used in the ISS. Utterly brilliant 🖖
Amazing footage!!😄👍
really awesome... thank u veriest muchest
Spectacular! Simply and truly amazing.
Amazing footage. There's a lot of things that I learn from this video and had never seen before. Thanks for sharing.
This was truly exciting.😊🇨🇦
That was really interesting! Thanks ISS guys for doing this! Bernie in Sydney
The best rocket shape ever
Crazy. Felt like I was there. Insane that we can watch videos like this.
That squeaky sound that the touchscreen makes when he pivots it to the camera is the type of detail that hollywood space movies get wrong
That is awesome they're on the ISS
Petition to get Chris to start a RUclips to vlog on! Would be fascinating to see his rehabilitation program now he is back on earth..best ISS Commander imo..xxx 🚀🌠🪂🌍👨🚀😘
This was awesome! I had no idea Chris Cassidy made this until this morning 9-15-2020 🤣 Watched it live tho. Called into work. Wouldn't miss it for anything in the world. Same with upcoming SpaceX Crew-1 in October, will be sick that day 🤣
So amazing. Although the event happened a year ago still my excitement while watching the video. Thanks for sharing.
Is this just not amazing? What a feat! I could watch this over and over for hours.
Amazing footage❤️
There should be another video like this. Because I know they required a lot of recording the two days after they were docked, same styled video with bundled up clips and experiments, interviews, anything Bob, Doug, & Chris have done together with a good start to the left off point ending, of this video.
This is incredibly awesome!
Chris Cassidy seems like such an awesome dude, would be amazing if u could work with someone liek that one day, imagine all the knowledge and experience anyone would gain being around people like that
Flat earthers still scratching their head thinking of a way to debunk the dudes floating through the tunnel of the iss
