@@briankeith6256 This is a funny fact I heard about How people in Spain have a little lisp when they speak because the king of Spain had a lisp so I guess they spoke with a lisp as not to make the king self conscious. Of all her talents, her guitar playing is what is most impressive. She could play with anyone in the world. She puts on a spectacular show. I have seen a lot of shows and this ranks as one of the absolute best. If you have never seen Charo in person and get a chance, take it. She is amazing!

This woman’s talent stuns me. She survived and then thrived in a world of sexism and chauvinism.
The “hoochie coochie” bit got her in front of the cameras and, in fairness, maybe she exploited that for her own self-interest. But I fear she tolerated it because she knew it was the only way to get proper recognition in the male dominated entertainment world.
Her guitar skills are amazing, and always have been. It’s a shame she couldn’t get that recognition without the sex hype early in her career. (But who wants to hear a guitar when T&A are being pushed on all available media. 😡😡😡)

Years ago my boyfriend, after a concert, said who's the 5 best guitarist's...now we are Metal Heads mind ya....He began Jimi Hendricks, Jimi Page...I added Joe Satriano...Stevie Vie...I said no..not in the top 2.....I said Roy Clark #2, and Charro #1. After I showed him....there was no argument. The guitar was a part of her, every movement in tune with that instrument!
