Why did the dragons ruin the deal for Touker? I see no issue with giving 3% for free to a dragon who would get you into retail, get your product cost down and increase your profits and has the infrastructure and network to take your product international. Isn't that worth more than £190k?
He was dishonest or at least very misleading in the way he presented it. He wasn't investing, he was giving her an interest free loan for three months (which she didn't need). If he had been more up front and said I'll help you for 3% then I think no real issue with it. But the way he did it looked like an old shark trying to take advantage of a nervous young businesswoman. He then doubled down by saying to the other dragons "Well you weren't willing to invest" when he wasn't either. I agree with the others that I don't get the fixation on dividends as return the dragons showed on this one. They don't look for this in any other investment. They could easily monetise their return either by the business floating, being taken over or by the founder buying back their shares at an independent professional valuation at a later date. It was pretty clear the founder hadn't thought that through but she's new to business and relatively inexperienced so understandable Perhaps it was in the edit but the conduct and reasoning of most of the dragons (Trinny was the exception) didn't make sense here
In 6 months time she might want more investment, the future invested would see this on the tv and would ask why he should give money for a percentage when she gave away 3% for nothing essentially. They did it to protect her not in-spite of her.
The last pitch confused me to the point I watched it twice and it still didn’t make sense. Why would they tear her down over dividends ? Why would they think they wouldn't get their money back if her business is making in the millions and the revenue will keep increasing? I watch this show regularly and many people enter the den with much less turnover/ profit with a high asking price and get great deals. On the other hand, If her end goal is to get a mentor why did she ask for so much money? So confusing !
Let me try to clarify. When an investor puts money into your business, they can only get their money back through dividends or when the company gets sold. The lady said she wasn't willing to do either, despite her large turnover and profits thereby making the business unattractive for the Dragons.
The thing is even if she agreed to pay dividends at 3% and £190,000 it would take a while for the dragon to get the investment back, unless the company did incredibly well.
The rules of the den is you must get the amount of money you ask for percentage doesn’t matter. In this case the entrepreneur needed guidance expertise and a mentor not money Tuca knew this and he offered his time but he had to put up the cash up as that’s the rules of the den. (So technically he was giving the money and asking for it back to keep within the guidelines of the shows rules) “don’t hate the player hate the game” He wasn’t getting 3% for nothing he was going to give his time experience and his team. The other dragons just fucked this entrepreneur and made Tuca look like a villain. I honestly can’t believe they did that to her. Tuca withdrawing his offer in the end so he didn’t look like he was taking advantage of her was and wasn’t the right thing to do. Shame on the other dragons for making this woman and Tuca feel uncomfortable.
How does she clearly need it? She’s now selling in Boots and is incredibly successful! They definitely missed out on this one. Also he wanted her to GIVE AWAY 3% that’s crazy, even the other dragons side eyed him
I don’t think it was the 3% it was the “as long as I get the £190,000 back in 3 months” - how?? Because the other dragon said she’d have to make 6million to get that money back let alone make a profit meaning it’s probably not realistic so what would happen is he’d give her the money, take it back after 3 months and keep his 3% shares
@@Stef.B surely if he has a level of involvement 3 percent is reasonable. She was fine with that until the dragons got involved. She clearly thought her business could pay it back in 3 months.
@@MichaelPaterson-ky2cv I agree yes all dragons have a lot of knowledge and essentially she would pay for that but I think the other dragons felt she was losing in this situation in as she’s not just paying him £190,000 over time she’s also giving away a percentage of her company. It’s difficult to discuss what could have happened potentially with the dragon but she’s doing really well from what I’ve seen, her company is growing and she’s hired someone to help her which I personally think ultimately was a better deal for her because she doesn’t need to give away her company shares, sell it or pay dividends (which I don’t know how that works either but she said she didn’t want to do that).
What's happened to Trinnys face 😢 she was such a beautiful woman. Way too much surgery. Her lips are shocking. I don't usually comment on appearances. It just made me feel sad 😢
The older they get, the less they pass. Their bone structure betrays them at some point, so the surgeries stop working. Celebs have the power to access the best surgeons on earth, yet many just look worse and worse. The anatomical truth can't be denied forever.
So they get on at Touker for his deal getting his money back so quickly, but Peter's deal was no different and for even more percentage... once he gets his 50k back he will drop to 10% - she doesnt need the money and will most certainly pay him the 50k back next week to bring him down lol. ridiculous
I’m so confused. Iv watched this show since it began. I’m now questioning my understanding of everything. I always thought when someone gives a percentage of their business in this show that’s what they give away but the last pitch when it was stated that’s what the offer was everyone was shocked. I always thought that’s what the percentage was for the case of the business. Iv no idea how this works.
This is why I love Shark Tank more. If you're not making a deal, let someone else make the deal. Touker always reminds me of Kevin O'Leary - they make their offer and it's up to the entrepreneur to accept it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Touker's offer. However, I feel the lady should have negotiated that Touker's equity would drop to 1% once he gets his money back. That is fair enough for his mentorship.
Why did the dragons ruin the deal for Touker? I see no issue with giving 3% for free to a dragon who would get you into retail, get your product cost down and increase your profits and has the infrastructure and network to take your product international. Isn't that worth more than £190k?
Touker wasn’t fully serious also. These guys are so greedy and will try to get the best deals possible.
They ruined it for the girl as well . Dragons getting their money back isnt a big deal by any means

She got into boots without the dragons a couple months after the show was filmed. She didn’t need to give away 3% of her company for free

Really dont see the problem with the 3% offer. Small percentage and all the benefits of a dragons help which she clearly needs.
I don’t ether she can manage without 3% surely

Steven is so irritating- always against Touker - it’s pathetic, he will never do that to Peter - Steven is such a weirdo
It's friendly banter: Steven and Touker are best mates
Can't stand any of them anymore bring back Duncan
The Den has become more subtle since Steven joined and that completely goes over kids' heads. We adults enjoy the refinement.
51:38 "oh if my daughter were like you I would be so proud... so, so, proud..."
lol what? sounds like you threw your own kid under the bus
Trinny is not for dragons den - should find another guest
I’ve been using hair syrup since 2021, it’s my absolute holy grail product. I will stay a loyal customer as it’s genuinely saved my hair.
What's happened to Trinnys face 😢 she was such a beautiful woman.
Way too much surgery.
Her lips are shocking.
I don't usually comment on appearances.
It just made me feel sad 😢
It's perplexing isn't it, this type of work doesn't improve people's appearance
She looks constantly disgusted which I found very amusing. Like she’s pissed off 24/7

I do not understand why certain women keep getting these duck lips? WHO is telling them it looks good?
She was something .. 😢
Not liking Trinny. Thanks for upload
16:50 - she lifts 20kg?😅😅 wanna see that
The subtitles were really helpful on this one, struggled to make out what Sandy was saying at times and even Touker
All the Dragons ruined it for the cosmetics girl at the end. Touker was trying to help, unlike the others.
Trinny is annoying but Steven is worse should get rid of them both.
Everyone dislikes Steven I don’t understand why ?
How much Botox would you like trinny?
Trinny-Yes
Planet saving? The planet will still be here when we have gone. Ridiculous

I,m a Trinny fan but sad to see what she,s had to do to her face to keep up appearences....😢

The dragons ruined it for Lucie - Touker could have helped her a lot
Trinny is bloody annoying.
Peter Jones u are avenged beyond legends well done for giving people those dreams especially the sum dumplings
So much licensing opportunities for that water bottle
Is there a single episode where Peter doesn’t talk about Levi roots?
He didn't talk about levi roots in this one.
@@garymole819 Yes he does!
Trinny you are dressed like that table and Deborah you too.
Sandys dumplings 🥰are lovely

@@alexojideagu 😂🤣

Thanks Peter if ever I like Peter was now for Sandy!😊
Touker could help her internationally - the other dragons are just so bitter
Thanks my guy
24:37 -they're so gonna sleep with each other after the show.
Is the "i" in Trinny meant to be an "a"?
That is a biologically male human being. Big, heavy skull, massive square jaws, wide chin, brow ridge, etc.
And the deep voice
U are a legend Peter jones
56:49 DEBORAH is the worst Dragon she is so jealous of her fella dragon Touker as a result the young entrepreneur lost her deal..
Yes they ruined it
She is reportedly the best mentor and is fair.
Deborah is a "Dog in a manger".
Diary of a Muppet outta here. Ruining an iconic show.
What the heck is D2C?
