He might not die, but he’ll take at least 200k. And having at least the chance to dodge that damage is always good, no matter what.

With 554k defense, he'll have more than 1.5 million def on hit. With that + guard and his dmg reduction, he'll take 300k-500k from a 3 - 4 million super, and if he gets hit after he supers, he'll probably take 150k or less. If Vegeta double supers, he'll definitely take 50k or less, maybe even double digits.

Don't set yourself up for disappointed. Yes we've gotten an amazing LR INT SSBE Vegeta EZA, A godly Base/SSJ Vegeta Dokkanfest and the upcoming STR Super Vegeta EZA. But there's a possibility that we won't see any top tier Vegeta's after that. Another thing to consider is that the possibility is high for this Vegeta to be replaced as #1 TUR once the Golden week Dual Dokkanfest drops.

Vegeta is really good on global even though he doesn't have the buffs of the 9th anni, his team is still decently strong for Fusion Zamasu and he can easily tank normals and supers in the first phase.

The way I see dodge on a character like vegeta is that he's already so good in every area, the only place he could conceivably get cooked are outlier scenarios. If the boss is killed before he gets the chance to super every time he's on rotation, if we're somehow below the 18% threshold. Dodge gives him some counterplay for those unlikely scenarios

Extreme Teq and Vegeta family curse busted in one blow. 7 unit banner. This guy creampuffed the original Broly Red zone. His transformation and active are exactly what we want. I swore off until anni on global. This is the team Broly can be valuable on. It's already busted without him and has LR Str Vegito and Gogeta soon. I have characters I love. Phy Gogeta coming. Vegeta's value was too good to pass up and 7 unit banner. 8 unit banners always slaughter me.

I truly think that AGL King Vegeta would’ve lived the super from God Goku
the unit who need hit for part of his passive have no critical and stack defense and attack (full dodge build)
When the part of the passive isn’t a game breaking mechanic, it doesn’t matter. Also, Vegeta defense procs on hit. So if he dodges, and then the super him, he’ll have all his defense anyways.

Because he can still get stunned, debuffed, sealed, etc. your analogy doesnt work because Dodge actually makes Vegeta that much better. No unit, aside from a chosen few, are truly meant to take hits. 99.99% of the rest of the game benefits greatly from dodge. V/T, WT Goku, Almond and Raisin, etc. They get insignificant defense from getting hit. 10-30% defense is not wiping 700k damage you take from a super. You know what will, dodge. The more units build dodge you have, the more you will see it proc. having 3 dodge on every unit and expecting it to act like 25-30 dodge is just foolish. So again, you put dodge. @@metal99010

One thing I realised, this is the vegeta that fought the androids 19 and Gero right? I can tell he transformed in that rocky area, but then when the camera is going all over the place he is in a snowy area, like the fight with android 13... or am I wrong, its really weird for me.

Something I’d like someone to explain to me about this unit is the “extra defense” at the end of his passive in base. Does he get like 180 or 150 defense after getting hit once in a turn?
In base its 150% but it's based on your HP. So at full health you get the full 150%, but the lower HP you have the lower the buff gets.
In Super Saiyan it's 180% and it doesn't have an HP condition
