DD1 Hamlet OST is my daily Sleep background sound. Can't really find any other OST that can build you into the Mood as good as this one. DD1 is such a Beautiful game.

Yeah I agree that they are different and good in their own way. However, I do prefer the stagecoach and DD2 in general. I enjoy DD1 for the first 5-10 hours but then it just gets a bit too grindy for me. I can definitely see why others prefer DD1 though! 🙂

I bought the game but could never bring myself to play it because it brought back all the memories of the heart of the world and all the terrible, terrible things of the old... old road.
Came across this new playthrough by accident, thought maybe it'd be a one a week upload so didn't start watching (As I'm a sucker for full games) and a few days later, BAM! Five huge episodes! Consider me intrigued!
I feel you man! Just got back into DD1 myself and it was a blast! Killed the Apprentice Necromancer but I lost a Graverobber that has Eagle Eye. Not to mention that my Leper and Crusader combo are just wrecking monsters! Feels good to be back indeed!
I love DD2, but the feeling of loss in it just doesn't compare to DD1. Each run not really affecting the next makes a lost run feel like no big loss. DD1 I think everyone's been 20 hours in and had your ocultist wiff on a major heal, party dies, gold lost, bye bye trinkets. It's a much more invested experience

Also, some friendly advice: always always focus on stress damagers versus pure damage unless on extremely low health. It does depend on party composition, especially on Bloodmoon, but stress is far more costly to the long term health of your campaign than losing a hero outright. Heroes can be retrained, replaced, but the cost to repair their minds and get rid of negative quirks is so so expensive early on. Prioritize their mental health so you can invest in them long term.
The trick to Shambler is to keep bleed/blight pressure on it while exterminating its minions with extreme prejudice. Of course, it is extremely lethal for level 0 heroes no matter how good your tactics.

I only saw the notification today so I'm late to the party, but I'm really excited how the journey goes this time! Baer and DD1, an unmatched combo for me, besides maybe Baer and Spelunky (1 or 2).
