How to make a circle cutting jig

Man's jigs are better put together and neater than some of my finished projects
His jigs are why all of us can have better projects. He is one of the best of the best!
There are many ways of cutting a sphere in wood, this is one of the more complicated methods I've seen and I think it's absolutely fantastic 😁 ... I thought it was quite limited in the size of spheres it could produce until I realised that the router could be moved up/down, thereby determining the diameter ... love it 👍
I think it is not complicated but rather easy. It takes some effort, definetely, but you can easily understand how it's done and you can build the jig by yourself, and it prohibits further mistakes and failures.
@@dieterjosef Spinning a piece of wood on a lathe and pushing a holesaw into it is far simpler, easier to set up and quicker to cut .... which is why I said this is one of the more complicated methods I've seen, because it is compared to other methods ... but I also praised it in case you didn't notice!!
@@barry.w.christie I noticed the praise, and if you have a lathe it's easier, yes. But if you have to build something like a lathe first... If you had an idea how to fix a piece of wood so that it can be rotated by hand you could put the router in a fixture that can do a circle. I think that would be easier all in all and could be used in different ways in the future.
So many who watch these videos are so impressed by what they see. These are basic carpentry skills that just about any American carpenter car do. I have worked with many over the years who have done this and more. Nothing special. And I think I learned to make similar joints on the job with an amazing American carpenter. The thing is he never saw a need to take pictures of himself doing basic work.
@@hdvictoryford5329 Jesus, who pissed in your breakfast? There are millions upon millions of people, not just Americans (although I appreciate it's harder for you lot), who can cut wood, make joints, make jigs etc so nothing special!
This guy has made a jig which he thought others would find useful and he shared it, in the hope that others would find it useful or even inspire them to create their own version ... a fact borne out by the number of views and (positive) comments.
An old adage .... if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything!
When you see "Japanese" in the title you already know it's gonna be the absolute best you could possibly achieve 👌🏻👏🏻
Ever heard of ww2?
Honestly with all the horrible 'hack' videos that are out there on social media now, coming onto your channel by chance is really like finding a pure refined gold on out of the blue. Really great videos, great ideas, and nice to see some safety being considered, etc. All just execellent. I can't imagine your work is not going to help many craftsmen... new, and experienced both....
I love nuts
This channel (and JSK) are my absolute favourites 😊
Idem I ❤ yours
Yessss, agree
Me too. Just awesome.
You know what your talking about”

I would be happy to have just 20 % of your tidiness in the workshop. Mine is usually a mess no matter how often I clean.
Japanese worshop is lie a temple .
Leonardo da vinci would be proud of you, and learning from you. This is unreal....

Wear protection goggles and respirator filter half mask with silicon airtight seal around the mouth and nose. All kinds of particles getting into the lungs are dangerous in long term. Really nice idea! Subscribed! 😉

Sono felice di sentirlo dire.

Man has invented a wooden ball joint!
Sig Yasuhiro, La seguo dai primi video. In assoluto il mio canale preferito. Complimenti....Resti così.
Simplesmente extraordinário, parabéns!!! E obrigado por compartilhar!!!

Hi Yasuhiro,
Your thought process and creativity is quite amazing! I always look forward to your notifications when you post a new video they are always well executed.. Most importantly, thank you for taking the time to make them and for sharing your creativity. An inspiration and a pleasure to watch! Take care, Wayne
I love simplistic ideas
Thank you very much for the great inspiration. I gave a sub only a few seconds in and I believe it is well invested after I have seen it whole. Thank you, again!
Some technics are so elaborated that sounds like a magic!
Absolutely brilliant.
Glad to hear it. Thank you very much.
I'm glad I sat and watched the whole thing. And I agree there's easier ways to do a sphere. The craftsmanship was absolutely amazing. 🔥💯

because not everyone looks at exactly what carpenters do, or have no basic knowledge on the skill. just let people be impressed by the craftsmanship and go make yourself a chair or something, geez@@hdvictoryford5329
Your wooden ball joint creation is truly remarkable!
What’s incredible idea 😮
Congratulations for this application ❤
End result was brilliant, the method was even better...
So easy and so good. Nice Video
I like it alot! For flexible movement of anything that needs it, nothing can really beat a ball joint, and it looks so beautiful in wood. Thank you for all your great idea videos.

Coming off a bit arrogant there, and I have no idea why you answered this on my comment, I didn't even say impressed. But since you did, then no, this is not basic work, and no, just about any carpenter can't do it and won't do it, and it is really strange that you specified American twice. And good for you meeting other people you can brag about, but I don't see how sharing a process makes any "basic work" less valuable. In general you need to check your own value system.@@hdvictoryford5329

Cheers for checking out the video
INCREDIBLE!!
Well executed jig design. I think I would have gone the lathe and holesaw route to get something similar. 👍
Thank you for watching and for your feedback.
simply brilliant.👏
Excelente parabéns.
great jig, and thank you for sharing!!
I'm glad i have found your channel. I'm a carpenter myself, but I had no idea what other possibilities there were for woodworking.
Thanks and keep it up!
I appreciate a person who works in a trade and admits he didn’t already know it all.
My ex could never do that, but then he couldn’t get how to use a staple gun properly to make it go in straight. Used to drive me crazy!

This is how Japanese were making giant robots before iron.
Honestly? .. carpentry masterpiece
At the present time I do not have a workshop. Hopefully sometime in the next few years that will be rectified. That being said I subscribed after just this one (first) video, after all I can still learn ideas even if I can't practice the process.
Brilliant, Brilliant work

Impressive work! 👍
marvelous work
Tout simplement génial 👏
Amazing talent good job sir godbless😊
you are really good
I was thinking what you would use it for until the end. If you had an older 'real' wood desk, making a stand like that might look better, and be sturdier that someone the metal ones out there.
Great mechanism
Outstanding.
wonderful
Wooow i love it
Amazing job. 👍👍
ok, this is pretty cool
