  • Hi,
Let's bake some bright and fun butterfly cookies today!
    Today we will need:
    White ready to roll fondant
    Good quality paint brushes
    Rose spirit
    Edible paint or lustre dusts
Vanilla biscuits (we use the Miss Biscuit recipe)
Butterfly cutter or embosser (We use www.3dprintallthethings.com/p...)
    Cornflour puff
    Rolling pin
These make such cute gifts, and perfect for so many occasions. Get creative and have lots of fun with it!
Remember to let your cookies dry for 24 hours, before individually bagging in bags or boxes.

Hi thanks for your videos! Just wondering how do you heat seal the cookies once you've finished decorating?

      Hi Rachael,
      Glad you are loving them.
I can do a future video on it, but I use food safe bags, and heat seal using a heat sealer you can purchase them online. You heat it briefly and then press down, and it will seal the bag so no air can come in.
      Hope this helps,

The butterflies look beautiful! Do you find that the lustre (especially gold) dries with a slightly grainy finish, and rubs off on the plastic bag when heat sealed?
I use rose spirit to mix with lustre. Thanks so much!

Thank you. I don't usually have that issue, maybe your paint is too thick. Try using more rose spirit, and leaving 24 hours before bagging. Hope that helps

Thank you for this turned out so cute. I was wondering how do you recommend to store these once they’re done being decorated? Without heat sealing them?

Thank you. Just in an airtight container for around 1-2 weeks if not sealed.
