@@flyinggeese1868 I actually have never heard of Gang of Youths and wasn't a "hardcore fan" of Mumford and Sons... but now I'm like "watch me wait until I have enough money in my account and let me splurge it to go see those guys again".
@@jof6619 This was my experience with Gang of Youths live as well! I had never heard of them before either when I first saw them live. My gf just had a hankering to go see a band one night, so she looked up some that were playing that night in some of NYC's smaller by good venues. She found these guys, so we went, and I was blown away....That doesn't happen to me when I'm listening to music I don't know live. The only concerts I've ever enjoyed have been concerts of bands with tons of songs I already knew and loved, so I could sing along. These guys surprised me though. Anyway, fast forward a year later after listening to their music non-stop the entire time, I went to see them again. Again at another small venue. HOLY CRAP, it was the absolute best, most energetic live performance I've ever seen! It was so powerful, like you said. It just hits you. So jealous that I didn't get to see this performance! I looooved this cover of this song GoY did on that Australian radio program (I didn't know the original song before). And to hear it in collaboration with Mumford & Sons was a treat. I'm particularly surprised at how clear their vocals sounded in that venue. In most live videos of GoY I've watched, it's impossible to tell what he's singing if you don't already know the lyrics. This sounded crystal clear, must have been fantastic.
