    Best straight to the point video I've saw on the hyundai tucson. Especially following the cars owners manual recommendations.

    Hey, nice video. I have a 2005 hyundai tucson. The windshield wiper fluid is leaking and it is the hose than runs from the reservoir to the hood that probably fell off. Pls make video showing hot to replace it from the pump going to under the hood.

    Thanks for your efforts to show us something helpful,
    However I have below 2 notes (hoping you will accept them):
    -You should fill the new filter with oil before Installation.
    -Changing 17 ml screw washer.

      Hey Kameran, appreciate the feedback and I do change the plug gasket each time so I should have mentioned that! In regards to filling the new filter I have been taught as a mechanic to not prefill any filters unless specified by the manufacturer. Lots of folks and techs do the opposite and I doubt there are many instances of large contamination getting into the system from prefilling the filters but I have been taught from the manufacturers I have worked for that its a no no. Thanks again!

      whats the purpose of prefilling?i have never heard that. i have heard wiping oil on the filter gasket.

    • @kameranlhoni410

      Hi, @@2feetaguywith The purpose of pre filling is to prevent engine parts from moving without oil during the milliseconds while the oil filter get filled with oil.

      Pre-filling the oil filter is not needed on passenger cars. That is only done on those huge 18-wheeler commercial tractor trailers which have these massive diesel oil filters which hold over a gallon of oil.

    Make sure you check the oil when it’s on a level surface off of the ramps because it will run to the back of the pan and you won’t get an accurate reading until it’s on the ground.

    Thanks for the video. I had a Valvoline do my oil change and they stripped a bolt on the oil pan cover. So instead of putting the stripped bolt back on now it’s missing a bolt on the front corner which makes it flap and not flush. I was wondering if its possible just to grab a similar 10mm bolt at a hardware store just to fix the flap. Just need to figure out the size.

      I can get some specs for you as soon as I can get under my car in the next few days!

      Adrian Domen i was able to pull a bolt out and get a match with washers at my hardware store. I realized the clip that the bolt threads onto is missing on the front corner 😩 at least I was able replace another bolt that was close to getting stripped and it allowed me to tighten up the flap better than it was at least. Thanks though.

    Have you tried using Amsoil SAE 5w30 over Quaker? I debating trying it out on my Tucson.

      I tried Amsoil once and didn't see any difference at all.

    Surprisingly really like that wheel and tire set up. Is it just for winter?

    • @Domenshow
      @Domenshow  3 года назад

      Yes, it is the setup I use for winter, just regular steel wheels and Hankook IPike RW11's studded. The roads can get pretty slick in the Canadian Rockies so the studs help stopping on ice. Lots of places do not allow studs though so be careful with provincial/state regulations

    Hi would this same process apply to the 1.7 litre engine?

    • @Domenshow
      @Domenshow  3 года назад

      Very similar, oil plug may be in a slightly different location and oil capacity and type may change as well, best to consult the owners manual for the engine specific specs

      @@jackiechan_wtf4041 pfft. read the owner's manual he says. Like people want to go crawling in their car, looking in the glove department for a wad of pieces of that paper stuff held together by those staple things to form those book things... and THEN to top it off have to flip through pages using their eyes to comb through a Table of Contents... You ask too much sir. Much easier to click a mouse and type a quick question online without moving an inch. Dude living in the past.
