I think you nailed it with both of them. The chemistry is electric. Alie and Noah encapsulate what young and intense love is supposed to be. It’s still my favorite movie. I can watch it over and over.
Everyone's heard of the Notebook, but many haven't seen it. When I tell those people that it's my favorite movie they grimace (because if its reputation) and ask what's so great about it. All I can really think to say it that it's... love. More than any other movie out there I feel like there is love there when I watch the Notebook.
All I can say is; Chemistry, chemistry, chemistry! And that's what Ryan and Rachel had! Without that? The Notebook, would've never been so successful! One of my FAVORITE, LOVE movie. ❤️❤️❤️
this should be proof to all, that, even if both actor/actress are really well known and exceptional at their job, there has to be chemistry between them for an audience to believe in the romance.
They weren't "well-known" actually at all at this time period in either of their careers. Ryan had done 3 or 4 movies that weren't blockbuster films and neither had Rachel, actually same amount, 3 or 4 "nothing" movies and tons of TV credits from 6/7 years earlier but nothing that was nominated for big awards or anything, and a few independent movies. Plenty of experience, let's say, but neither of them were a "name" actor, which actually is incredible because both of them did such a fantastic job in this particular movie together. It's astounding and interesting that it's said that McAdams was such a difficult person to work with, given that she also was basically an unknown at this time, as far as being a "name" - usually someone with clout becomes the difficult one, thinking they're just above it all, so it's weird that she acted that way. I guess we'll never really know since Ryan is very good at not giving in to the interviews where they wanted him to spill the tea.
One of the few movies I will watch 10 times over in my life--forever love this movie!!!! everyone who loves it ---Proves Rotten Tomatoes (IS a rotten tomato) and knows nothing
I like that the movie was set back in time, but leaving out so much of their lives and fast forwarding to old age, that part I did not like ... good movie, both actor & actress seemed 'meant for each other'.
I agree, the movie was so good I wish it could’ve been longer than 2 hours. Wish they would’ve shown their married life with kids. Maybe some bumps in the road? Since Allie left her family and riches, maybe Economic hardships or Noah dropping his drinking habits, then showing Allie showing signs of Alzheimer’s? But ig all that mattered is they ended up choosing each other and evidently lived happily together till death.
What did She Say at the Minute 2:15 ? I've Understand " I get the script and I Before envolved My eyes Out , Of surpise that I Even got Of the Next tape , I Was Just Red By It " o.O Alguien Me Dice Que Dijo Ella Porfavor !!!
Men don't fall in love with woman flesh boys do it's there heart . She will grow she not a car you don't trade her in when she get some mile on her it's for ever you promise God
Rachel McAdams was made to play Allie

Truly it is 🔥🔥😎💪💪 01-31-21
Hairstyle reminds me of
Noah was 'one guy, had one girl, had one parent.' There's something beautiful about that...
I don't think there's a film that can beat this. It's perfect, the cast is perfect, camera angles are perfect
The life that Ryan and Rachel breathes into these characters is PHENOMENAL and the Chemistry blows you away. The Notebook is OUTSTANDING 🤗😭🤗😭
Do you know the original video of this?
This movie was perfect.. I don't even know how it could have been better.
The music of this movie just adds to its beauty.

A person who doesn't discard. He fights for people he cares about. Portrayal of a rare personality.
I love how she does not set her hangbag down before auditioning 😁

Forbidden in the south would be interracial
Sorry but I just can’t watch movies with sad endings!
It was a beautiful ending though, Allie finally remembered Noah and their lives and they could both finally Rest In Peace, together 🥲
Men don't fall in love with woman flesh boys do it's there heart . She will grow she not a car you don't trade her in when she get some mile on her it's for ever you promise God
Man actors are creepy how they can do all that intense emotional stuff on command. Bleh
It is so hard to believe that this movie is almost 20 years old.
I like them so much.... This movie seems to be a legend...the best story, the best cast!
