TOXIC Tory Defects To Labour: What Natalie Elphicke's Defection Means

- Labour's message is clear. Hard right Tory MP like Natalie Elphicke? Welcome! Believe in taxing the rich to invest, public ownership, workers' rights, tackling the climate emergency, opposing war crimes? We think you're trash.

No new news on Gaza or is it more correct to say, no new articles you manipulate?
Curious as to what fish n chips thinks.
There is no depth to which they will not stoop to stay in power. Ooops, Natalie, you forgot to snip off your price tag! Voting Green.
My comment vanished.
First to say “Jenny O’Side”.
@@TheSashapooch Elphicke, Starmer and Mandelson? Birds of a feather flock together. Devoid of principle, as with most "leaders" of today's subverted Labour party.
With such a Labour Party, who needs Conservatives?
Or a right wing?
They are both the same
Or vice versa
Both have exactly the same policy on Gaza - Silent Enablers
@@ArbaaltheundefeatedThere is only right wing.
I'm 55 & this is comfortably the most right-wing Labour Party that I've seen.
Plus 5 years mate

Wolves in sheeps clothing. Extremely dangerous to everyone.
What?? With angela rayner at the helm...you must be off your trolley mate!
@@robdagnallschannel it's policies that make a party left / right. Labour is now majority economically centre right, with a small number of left policies.

Her defecting to labour, just proves how right wing, Starmer & the Labour Party has become... Shameful
Was, not become
No it doesn't it steals the media narrative for days kicks Sunak while he's down and as an immigration hard liner admits that the Tories policies on the matter are a complete failure.
This will further fracture the Tories with possible defections to Reform and may even hasten a GE
You'll never be able to join this Labour party if you are a Socialist. Right wing Tory, no problem.
I cannot hate Labour under Starmer anymore than I do. What disgusted me was how dizzy with excitement he was when she joined.
what amazes me is starmer worked so hard to get rid of the left of the party and now accepts a hard right Tory shows his true colors once again
"By his deeds ye shall know him."
Nothing is going to change even if kier starmer wins, kier starmer is a tory
Blair had his New Labour. Welcome to Starmer's New Tories.
Keir is the new Blair. people seem to like blairism
No true Labour.
Same cheeks of the same backside. New Labour was a Thatcherite project, so tory too
@@michaelarloff1396 I guess that puts Thatcher as the arsehole in the middle ;-)
@@stubru16 Nobody likes Keir. His only redeeming quality is not being the Tories. The Tories are simply SO bad that that seems likely to be enough this go around. To everyone's detriment, since Keir is destroying the Labour party and UK politics.
I am with Count Binface who posted "Natalie Elphicke tried defecting to me first but I said no. I’m taking the trash out, not in." wish that clown Stammerer had those morals.
I hope that's a genuine quote it would be brilliant
He has no morals nor integrity but he will be well rewarded for getting rid of the opposition to the establishment which he is part of
Another great reason not to vote labour
People love blairism it’s won most council seats in the country
@@stubru16 Despite Tory unpopularity, Labour only won half the seats the Tories lost. Tony (weapons of mass destruction) Blair and his 'ism' lost credibility long ago with the masses, regardless of how fashionable they may be in the Westminster bubble.
Unfortunately many will. There's a lack of information and awareness amongst most of the country.
@Kropotkin2000 not unfortunately
Why because Starmer has more political acumen than soap box Jones
I don't like the woman but to kick Sunak when he's down and steal the media narrative for days I'll take it.
So does anyone still think the Labour Party is left wing?
She’s a turncoat, deserving of the Labour Party.
Legally they shouldn't be allowed to call themselves Labour any more.
Please vote Green everyone 💚💚💚the UK deserves better than tory or labourtory.
Worker's Party for me. They're fielding brilliant candidates! Andrew Feinstein is standing in Starmer's seat so we may yet see him ousted at the GE
@@Hide_and_silk if I was in Holborn and St Pancras, I'd definitely vote for Feinstein!!
I'm sure labour are terrified of the prospect of the green party winning a 2nd seat in Brighton. Greens are definitely the answer to all of the Uk's problems and are clearly popular enough to win majority power.
Kier Starmer needs to change the name of the party.
This is no longer Labour and he should have no right to use the name to achieve his political ambitions!!
Centrists defending this are hilariously stupid 😅

Astonishing that labour feel comfortable allowing somebody like that in? Shows how far from a true Labour Party they are. So depressing.
Ex tory and speaker told you already. John Bercow told you he see's Labour as his natural home and finally other tories agree, so do I it is it is just not ours.

SHAMEEEEEEEEEEER ON LABOUR
This is not a Labour party. Its starmef Con party.
Well done Owen for showing that clip of Peter (Lord) Mandelson praising the "changed Labour Party". He holds campaigners for climate justice and the Palestinians in contempt. It's chilling to think that he's Starmer's puppet master. Natalie Elphicke is sure to feel at home in their "Labour" party.
This MP has transferred from Blue Tories to Red Tories, Labour is Labour in name only under Starmer now, but surely any MP should not be allowed to switch parties without resigning and going to their constituents to decide if they are reelected.
Keir is the successor to Boris: a two-faced hypocritical liar.

Toxic Tory defects to toxic labour 😅
I've been saying for some time that a Labour government is going to be a massive disappointment. They're already a huge disappointment and the election hasn't even been called. They're not going to be much of an improvement over the Tories, just with less sleaze in the beginning at least. Lammy is already scuttling around saying he can work with Trump which shows you how clueless Lammy is. Lammy will be steamrollered by Trump and his goons.
I had already decided not to vote Labour due to their stance on the Gaza genocide, this debacle just cements that decision. Utterly useless.
“Introducing the new labour - The old conservatives!”
Sickening. I will not vote labour at next election may not even vote at all honestly. All the hope and inspiration has been drained out of politics
It was obvious to Scotland when Labour & the Tories (& the Libdems) joined Better Together in 2014.
She's taking the piss. You could end up with dozen's of Tory MPs defecting to Labour , winning seats at the next election and then defecting back to the Tories. Mind you that would be hilarious.
that's democracy for you!! mind you, since when has labour been a socialist party?some of their corbyn hating, israel & ukraine loving mps are more right wing than natalie elphicke!!!
Vote Labour get more of the same conservative nonsense..
Vote labour, get a better governed country. Oh no! So Jeremy corbyn who lost 2 elections isn't allowed in labour anymore but a tory defection is welcomed because it undermines Sunak. Quick, pull the "Vote green" card because Owen jones and his fans want to stay in opposition morally lecturing everyone who just wants a non-tory government in power.
Starmer has the political nous of a turnip. He'd get beaten by Truss if the public knew the truth!
I hear Andrew Feinstein is going to announce he'll run against Starmer as MP for Holborn. A TV debate would be a bloodbath, Feinstein is great!! ✊
She has found the perfect home in Starmer’s Labour Party.

@Letsthinkaboutit-mb7nn The OP is absolutely right. Starmer cannot be challenged once in power. Even now he's brought this right wing witch while suspending Corbyn the former Labour leader.

As a Unite member I'm exasperated with Sharon Graham though, I can't fathom why she still insists on funding a party that's hostile to workers' rights? How many more examples does she need of Labour's contempt for the trade unions, and its own natural voters?

I must stress, that long before Elphicke, Labour was also the party of Hoey, Field, Millard, Danzcuk, Mann, and Anderson. The gammonati have found their way into the ranks of Labour, before. And with less fanfare.
Its a pity we cant get all left and centre left smaller parties, the unions, the greens , TUSC and independents to join together to start a new party.

Again Owen who are we going to stand against Emily Thornberry …
Nobody. You won't oust Emily thornberry. Owen Jones and the people who watch him vastly overestimate their effect on national voting.
Even when people like Owen had influence over labour through momentum, they failed miserably to win in the wider country. Being progressive and wanting to deliver positive change for the country is meaningless if you never actually get into the position of power to implement that change. People like Owen are happy being in opposition with no power and moaning about how everyone else isn't progressive.
