      @@explorer0213 Labour will have a thumping majority in the next parliament. If she stands and wins her seat, Labour don't need her for votes. What it does is massively harm the Tories in terms of their optics and gives Labour evidence to push Tory voters that they're a better chance, winning the centre ground without watering down their policies. It's a pragmatic tool, not because they want her in the party.

    Well done Owen for showing that clip of Peter (Lord) Mandelson praising the "changed Labour Party". He holds campaigners for climate justice and the Palestinians in contempt.     I've been saying for some time that a Labour government is going to be a massive disappointment. They're already a huge disappointment and the election hasn't even been called. They're not going to be much of an improvement over the Tories, just with less sleaze in the beginning at least. Lammy is already scuttling around saying he can work with Trump which shows you how clueless Lammy is. Lammy will be steamrollered by Trump and his goons.

    As a Unite member I'm exasperated with Sharon Graham though, I can't fathom why she still insists on funding a party that's hostile to workers' rights? How many more examples does she need of Labour's contempt for the trade unions, and its own natural voters?

    Great stuff, not that I needed it personally, but if ever those fellow EX Labour voters among us needed evidence that the EX Labour party and now continuity Conservative party, has abandoned everything it ever stood for thus making it attractive to cowardly treacherous Tories desperate to remain in government.

      Nobody. You won't oust Emily thornberry. Owen Jones and the people who watch him vastly overestimate their effect on national voting.
      Even when people like Owen had influence over labour through momentum, they failed miserably to win in the wider country. Being progressive and wanting to deliver positive change for the country is meaningless if you never actually get into the position of power to implement that change. People like Owen are happy being in opposition with no power and moaning about how everyone else isn't progressive.
