I greatly appreciate the content on fake coins. Crown was 5 shillings, or a quarter pound, where one gold sovereign was one pound and the gold half sovereign was half pound or 10 shillings. Crown minted with 11:34 Sterling 0.925 silver. Silver pure content is 5/6 of troy ounce. A sovereign contains 0.2354 troy ounce of pure gold in the 22 carat or 0.912 fine coin. From this we can derive a gold silver ratio of 16:1, which compares with 80:1 in the current bullion market. Cheers from one of your lost colonies, Australia. These were also our circulating currency until first Australian pattern silver issues in 1910. Australia only issued 1937 and 1938 crowns in .925 Stirling silver, generally derided as cartwheels. English went to 50% silver after 1920 due to the costs of WW1, Australian issues maintained .925 through to 1945, then .500 (due to costs of WW2) through to last pre decimal issue 1964 and decimal from 1966, with only the round 50cent piece 80% silver, one year type. Australia issued gold sovereigns 1855 -1930 and halves 1855- 1918 to same 22 carat standard as Britain, with Shield and StGeorge reverses and the unique Sydney Mint Pattern circulating types 1855-1870. There were reports that 40% of sovereigns in circulation in London at 1900 were from Australian mints, S Sydney, M- Melbourne and from 1899 P-Perth.
Hey Cynthia I hope you are doing very well indeed. Thank you for all your support and I hope you are having a fun weekend? I totally agree with you. People need to do a lot of research before had and know what your paying for and not buying something to regret afterwards. Have a wonderful weekend, Much love to you.

No worries Silver gopher I'm just happy that your here watching and commenting on my content, appreciate you sir. i hope you have a awesome weekend my friend.
Definitely can tell lots of differences on the reverse. Though not a huge fan of slabbed coins. I would expect a highly detailed 100+ yr coin to be slabbed. (Then contact the rating company b4 bidding.)
I don't mind on slabbed coins. I do like coins to be free and grading anyway is a very expensive opinion. i hope your well though my friend? Always a honour to hear from you EAC. i like people to enjoy a hobby I love to.
Good to know... I would have thought that the reeded one was the real one. Thank you for sharing that information. Have a great weekend Dale all the best and stay safe... Cheers from Canada!
Thank you so much Nick always a honour sir to hear from you. They look amazing for fakes. i hope your going to have a awesome weekend my friend. I hope you keep well appreciate you for watching brother.
Bro i think you are totally wrong. The left coin must the genuine one and in the right the fake one. How can real coin be deleted and blurry. Thats why i say the right one is fake due to the metal mold can not be detailed as a genuine one. That's why is blurry and not detailed
Really when I have the actual coins here with me and research I have been collecting for over 40 years. And the update I have had the coins checked out myself by a BNTA registered coin store. There is thing things called condition what do you think anything would look like in 1899 until today? The real genuine coin the silver coin is correct. This is a very old video please do some research, I'm not being rude but you can't come up with a sentence and quote I think your wrong! When I have the facts here with me. You obviously can't see what I'm seeing through a lens of a camera the weight is totally off as well. Hope your having a great week appreciate the comment also. It's very hard to express over a text message nice to have a conversation about this, which I have already done in other live streams over the years. keep well and thank you again
Hey Cash & Coins I hope your doing well sir? Appreciate you for watching I have been meaning to do this video for a while. I just enjoy making these videos because I enjoy this hobby that I have been doing for many years. i don't want people put off by others who would like to get in to this amazing hobby. Have a awesome weekend sir. Thank you again for watching.
Some are milled and some do have different engraving lettering on the edge. depends on the years and the effigy of the coins. It's worth checking before hand though just incase.
Thank you so much for watching my good friend. i hope your doing well? yes unfortunately there is, it's our job I guess to put people in to the right direction. And keep away from the bad apples that can put of what is a really great fun hobby.
The most obvious difference beside the color and the edge inscription was in decorations around the rim on both sides. On many fakes the rims, the 'teeth" and other details that accompany them on both sides, are much more pronounced and solid-looking, while on the real coins they are very delicate.
To be honest the colour don't actually matter depends on what the coins life has been. Great playing spot the difference, Not sure what you really mean by solid looking? Have a awesome weekend.
Hey Treasure woman how are you my friend. I was watching your premiere yesterday not sure if you was around or busy, Thank you so much for watching though your an awesome friend.
I have an 1861 Victoria coin, and I would like to know what it is, I can't seem to see another like it, so here is the description. 22mm diameter with milled edge, brassy bronze in color, and well worn. The young queen is left facing, with the characters, H.M.G.M. QUEEN on the left, and VICTORIA on the right side. On the opposite side of the coin is George and the Dragon above which, TO.HANOVER and below the date 1861. I'm not a collector, although I have a few English coins, and would appreciate any enlightenment on what I've described here.
I know the one they are actually called Cumberland jacks i have have done a video on these before. here is the link. ruclips.net/video/iOXBzHNRG2s/видео.html
Tengo una moneda pero es algo diferente a las demás . Me gustaría saber si es falsa . El jinete tiene una lanza ,victoria está sin manto y no tiene fecha. Me puede ayudar por favor ? Gracias
Just spit on some tinfoil and rub the coin if it smells of egg it's silver. Then no damage done and no acid need to be used. Incase you didn't know. 👍🙂
I did not know that to be honest with you. Okay being silver or not but I'm more interested in the coin itself. If the coin is silver then I would just melt the fake one down. But yeah I like to make the videos to show the different in the coin and to look out for. Thank you for the tip really appreciate you. Please enjoy your weekend my friend.
Hi my friend I honestly don't know The fake one I have had for a long time if I see a fake coin that is cheap enough i will buy it because this well help people not fall in to a trap of losing there money.
