Listening to you make a rug with the tufter while I get ready to latch hook my own 40x40 cathedral window rug. I bought so much yarn that I have to cut to size lol. 🙃
I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to do rugs and show my art in a different way! I love watching your videos. You are awesome and I love your art you do! Thank you for your videos
Hi Heather! Love your videos keep it up! Totally off topic, but your cover picture of you holding your tufting machines reminded me of crop circles! Maybe you should try a design like crop circles on your carpets that would be awesome!
I got my tufting gun from All Things EFFY too! Watching your vids made me take the plunge after years of loving the art form. I have the AK-II duo, which you can swap between cut and loop pile, and you can change the pile height a bit too. Has a spare pair of scissors in the box, and also the guard on the rotating gear. Highly recommend it!
Awww!! That’s so cool!! 💕 the duo had my eye for a long time haha hmmmm have you changed the height before? Just wondering if it was easy or scary? Haha
@@ArtsyMadwomanI’ve not tried the pile height change yet, but I have swapped from cut to loop pile and back which was only moderately scary (I found loop pile too tricky for my very limited skill level 😅)
I love buying tons of yarn lol the ladies at Michael's always make comments when I buy a bunch. I wanted to tell you that I finally got myself a yarn winder after seeing you use yours and I frigging love it!
All Things Effy is based in New Zealand, that’s where my machine came from! It only took a week to get to me which I thought was pretty fast. I think they’re getting a place in Canada soon so shipping might be cheaper then!
Is your All Things Effy code a temporary code or will it be active for awhile? I'm more tempted than ever to buy a tufting gun even though I'm not even close to being ready to start tufting yet.
I really wish I could do rug tufting with those machines, but my bad hands can't handle vibration. I just started punch needling & I dunno if I'll ever be able to make an entire rug that way, but I'm hoping to at least make mug rugs & such. Can't wait to see that blue-green added to this rug!
I get that. Punch needling is super cool too! I’ve seen punch needle artists with pretty large frames. I wonder if you could make a punch of smaller pieces & kinda see them together to make something bigger. Mug rugs are so cute! 💕
Love your choice of blue/green - very Cebu Blue Pothos vibes! A lot of planty greens are rich looking because they're sitting on top of a purple under-layer (like the underside of the leaf is a bright reddish/purplish). I'm curious if that color theory works with yarn too 🤔Thanks for another great video!
Thank you for sharing! Those rugs are going to be so stunning! The blue green was such a good choice! I don’t know about you but I feel like finding the right shade of greens and yellows is the most challenging when yarn shopping. It’s either too vibrant or too pastel,. That in-between tone is like searching for a Loch Ness monster in the desert. What are your thoughts on the why the long pile is being “not recommended for beginners”? You seem to be very impressed with its performance so I’m just curious if you noticed anything. What’s the weight comparison?
It is so difficult with those colors! Lmao I love that, I totally see what you mean 😂 I’m super impressed with the quality of the gun but I do think for beginners it’d be better to learn with a regular pile height tufting gun. This machine is very big, heavy & has a bit more kickback than a regular machine. It wouldn’t be the worst to learn with this gun but I’d definitely recommend to start out with a regular gun to learn the basics! I should weigh them to see exact differences but the long pile is definitelyyyy heavier. For me, not too heavy where it’s annoying but going back to the regular does feel muuuch lighter.
@@ArtsyMadwoman that helps to know. Definitely not a beginner but I also have to take the weight and kickback into consideration. I have joint issues and while is at the top of my list of next tool investments but is going to mean that I’m building my new frame sooner than later! I’ve designed a frame to be easy adjustable rails, retractable gun support, and adjusting/rotating to lay horizontal. I’m opposite of you, too old and fat to work low 😂
Lmao honestly. I’ve seen alot of tufters sort of catalog colors of yarn with the colors they draw with so they always know what yarn color to get for their designs. I gotta get on that haha
You’re great to watch and amazing to learn from. Glad i came across your channel

Oh wowwww that sounds amazing! I love that haha 😆💕
Ummm I need pictures of this!
The adhd in this video is soooo strong
I love green but I think the blue green is the best choice. I love this rug. You are so talented. Thank you.
Right? I think it’s going to be really pretty with the blue green! I appreciate you 💕
Adorable Cloud rug❤
The blue IS the perfect color for the Monstera rug.. ❤❤
Glad you trusted your eye and instincts! Always DO THAT❤
FUN update.
Thank you so much! Yess I love the color change! 💙

I always look forward to your videos keep up the great work ❤

Hi, where can you buy these large balls of yarn?

Yessss omg winders are such a life saver! Haha yeah I always get asked “making something big huh?” 👀 haha

It should be active for a while so no rush! They have sales all the time too!
@@ArtsyMadwoman Amazing! In that case, I will chill out haha

It’s time to start dyeing your own yarn for those specific colors now 😂

It might void your warranty too , I’d definitely research what to do before changing up the gun
That’s exactly what I’m afraid of lol it’s meant to change pile height so I don’t think trying automatically voids it but if I break it, it does 😅
Whyyy are you saying glreen like that 😭
