Hey, if I may ask, what ever happened to the Persona 5 series?
To copypaste what I've said about it on Patreon:
'If I'm being honest, it's seeming increasingly unlikely that I will finish the Persona 5 series in the form it was originally intended. To be frank, I'm nowhere near as passionate about that project as I used to be. I still have some feelings and takes I'd like to get out there, but I'm no longer really proud of my work on the early parts of that series as I've grown as a creative and critic since then and it's no longer up to my standards. It is not something I'm particularly eager to draw new viewers attention towards anymore. And, perhaps most of all, after trying to play through Royal in late 2020, I discovered that what positive feelings I did previously had for the game have all but vanished, which means I can't, in good conscious, build towards the finale I was originally planning. However, I also don't like the idea of just shitting on a thing for the sake of it, especially a series that promised it would very much NOT be that.
Still want to do *something* for the remainder of the game, cause I know a lot of people were really eager to see it, including many of the most long running and dedicated patrons, and the last thing I want to do is let down anyone if I can help it. For this exact moment though, I'm going to have to put a pin in it. It will most likely be decided in a poll of some variety after Patho Pt.2 releases. Perhaps a shorter, thematically focused one-off, perhaps a multi-hour round table discussion/debate with other Persona/SMT creators, maybe something else entirely.
But as of this exact moment, I won't mince words:
It's so far down my to-do of projects that I sincerely do not know when or if I'll ever get to it, especially when I could be using that time and energy to make another Pathologic video, or make an FF14 video, or an End of Eva video, or any number of other project I'm current far more passionate about.'
@@CodexEntry Well I thank you for the response and understand how you feel. Also, I'd just like to thank you for your videos on Persona 3 and 4. However you may feel about those ones now, to me, those videos are works of art. They introduced me to a philosophical side of myself that I never knew existed and cultivated my passion for writing. Those videos really helped me in a time of my life where I just had no idea what I was doing and where I was going. They helped me find a reason for being when I believed my life to be all but a nightmare. I had loved ones who passed away as well as both of my brothers attempting suicide. And though this, you words helped me realize that my life had meaning and I still had work to do. So I thank you for your words of wisdom.
