In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Ironclad. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...

The debate in the beginning had me go like "how do you die with searing blow +16?" Then I heard blasphemy + vault and immediately understood.
I used Blasphemy against Nemesis one time not really thinking because he only had like 40 HP left. It ended up being on his Intangible turn 😂

I just die in boring ways. Mostly to snakeplant (pretty sure that thing should qualify as an elite)
Snakeplant and avocado ruin me more runs than bosses+elites combined
I stand by Snakeplant being the most BS designed enemy in the entire game

First time I've seen you really use Havoc and I LOVED IT. 10/10 performance
Upgraded Havoc is easily one of my favorite cards in the game. It enables so many broken things if you can manipulate the top card of your draw pile but even just randomly firing it off has saved my runs on several occasions.

Proceeds to not play Demonform in longer fights, when it comes up multiple times, regrets it every time!

Yeah, especially with the tutorial "how to kill the Heart with ..." style Vids, a series on how *not* to kill it might be interesting. Then, looking at the catalogue on this channels, it seems it's Wins Only here. Maybe an auxiliary YT channel Baalorloose instead of Baalorlord 😀

My understanding is that loss videos perform badly and the algorithm doesn't like them, unfortunately.
I don't understand why the video titles are always so generic. I would have lead with the way this run ended. "Weirdly strong deck" doesn't really do the ending justice.

Well they get clicks which isn't necessarily a bad thing It's also just likely less effort.

Dunno when it'll go up but he recorded a video for act 1 events on twitch just before the holidays.
Perfected Strike is a strategy I start off super confident with and then anywhere from the Act 2 boss to mid-Act 3 I start to realize there’s no shot I can beat Act 4. The Act 3 bosses and Spear/Shield are usually fine, but i can just never scale it enough to contend with the heart. I’ve beaten the A20 Heart with most “archetypes” and random amalgamations in the game, Perfected Strike just isn’t one of them even though I always have a ton of fun when I pick it.
Perfected strike is one of the best strategies for instantly killing everything in your sight, but suffers so much when it comes to blocking. Seeing as heart is the one fight that blocking is mandatory, it isn't surprising that perfected strike struggles to it.
Dual wield and a sneko makes it good enough for anything (including Heart). Blocking is still important though!
Perfected strike is a fine act 1 card. The biggest problem with it beyond that is you’re incentivized to keep the worst cards in your deck.
37:10 Ink Bottle always resolves the card first, then draws you a card. (At least, that's how it's always worked for me)
